Chiang Rai’s best-kept secret!

Varee was a superb experience; delicious food, exceptional service, and incredible value for money. The ambience was beautiful, and I would highly recommend a visit.

A friend recommended the restaurant, so I brought my family along, and we were not disappointed. The menu offers a fusion of Western and Northern Thai dishes and everything we tried was excellent. The Western dishes would have felt at home in a fine dining restaurant, while the Thai options had a depth of flavour that felt genuinely authentic.

The setting is equally impressive, with views overlooking the river. Weather permitting, there's a stunning outdoor sunken seating area, where tables are surrounded by gently running water, a lovely touch.

Varee ticks all the boxes, whether it’s a date night, family celebration, or a catch-up with friends. At this price point, we’ll likely be back next week to explore more of the menu.

We had a complimentary breakfast for 3 days so we had Omelette, Boiled Egg, some dry Fruits and Mash Potatoe packed for takeaway. Omelette was outstanding.

People are way too helpful. We told Miss Ying to pack Omelette and she not only packed Omelette but also Half Fry and some dry Fruits while i was speaking to my friend. Seeing people going out of the way to help you is the most beautiful thing. They are all Big Cute Smiles.

The menu was short but seemed like they got most of the dishes covered. You wouldn't miss much.

Varee Fine Casual Dining hits the mark for quality, service and location. Table side river dining offers a very unique setting. The menu is to die for. Can't believe the taste and price for high quality Northern Thai cuisine. The standout dish was the Prawn and Pomelo wraps and the Squid in eggs. The slow roasted pork rib caught my eye but was full after the tastiest wings and scallops came out. The bar serves up high quality blends, cold cocktails and a great selection of wines.
