KAMBO Restaurant — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

DO NOT TRUST THE OWNER. DO NOT RENT A BIKE HERE! I rented a motorbike here and had a very bad experience. I fell after I was cut off by a car and there were a few scratches on the bike. When I was returning it I was obviously going to pay for the damage, but the owner was extremely rude and trying to find every little detail that was wrong with the bike. She somehow put together a rediculous bill of 5500 baht because she said she needed to replace every part on the bike. This was too much as most of the damage was easy to fix without replacement and the single part that did need replacing costs max 300baht. When I tried to reason with her she would not listen and kept threatening to call the police. You don't want that in Phuket! I ended up paying the astronomical fee, but I hope this review will keep anyone else from making the same mistake. There are other rentals around...

Food was delicious, fresh home-made, meat was tender and tasty, portions are more than adequate for two to share, vegetables where fresh and crunchy not over cooked, flavours are delicate and well balanced, spice-chilli level was perfect for my wife, I could of had it hotter but still very enjoyable. Even got a pizza for the 10 year old grandson (he liked it) All reasonable priced. Place is clean and neat, but not fancy was a bit sceptical at first, but not now will go back again for sure.
