Subject: Unpleasant Experience at Catch Bar and Restaurant
I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the service my party and I received at Catch Bar and Restaurant during our recent visit to Thailand.
We initially attended the Friday night BBQ, which was a delightful experience, with the food being absolutely exquisite. However, our pleasant experience took a drastic turn for the worse during our visit for Sunday brunch.
We were utterly shocked and appalled when we were accused of stealing wine. This baseless and unfounded accusation was not only embarrassing but also completely ruined our dining experience. We are respectable individuals and the insinuation that we would stoop to such levels is both insulting and offensive.
The staff handling the situation were far from professional. Instead of addressing the issue discreetly and respectfully, we were confronted in a public and humiliating manner. This is not the level of service one would expect from a restaurant of your supposed calibre.
Furthermore, the wine in question was part of the brunch package we had paid for. It seems there was a lack of communication or understanding amongst your staff regarding the brunch offerings, which led to this unfortunate incident.
This experience has left a bitter taste and has marred our impression of Catch Bar and Restaurant. We had heard positive reviews about your establishment and were looking forward to a pleasant dining experience. However, the lack of professionalism and respect shown to us was deeply disappointing.
I hope you take this complaint seriously and ensure such incidents do not occur in the future. Proper training should be provided to your staff to handle such situations with tact and discretion.

Read moreCatch Beach Club is about a 35–45 minute drive from Patong, depending on traffic. The location is undeniably scenic, especially with its stunning beachfront view, making it a nice spot for a chilled-out afternoon.
The venue itself is stylish but relatively small, with two swimming pools — one reserved for adults only, and another open to everyone, including families. It’s a cozy setup, but can feel a bit crowded during peak times.
The beach view is gorgeous, but unfortunately, the ocean water is not clean. It was disappointing to see plastic bags and bottles floating around, which really takes away from the overall experience. Definitely not a place you’d want to swim.
On the plus side, the drink selection is solid, offering a wide variety at reasonable prices. It’s a good spot to relax with a cocktail in hand.
However, the food was a major letdown. We sampled a large part of the menu, and most dishes arrived cold and underwhelming. The only decent item was the pizza, which was just okay — so they get a point for that.
We stayed until sunset and left after it got completely dark, and surprisingly, the entire pool area was extremely poorly lit. We had to use our phone flashlights to find our belongings, and no staff came to assist or check in, which felt careless given the upscale image they try to project.
To top it off, we spent a bit over 25,000 THB in just about 3.5 hours, which left us feeling like the experience did not match the price tag.
Overall: A beautiful setting for drinks and sunset views, but the lackluster food, poor service after dark, and dirty beach take away from what could be a premium beach...
Read moreGot the worst food poisoning of my life this week at Catch. My husband and I come to Phuket regularly and always stop by Catch for the cool music and good food. We brought friends of ours with us for a meal on Monday. My husband and I both ordered the linguine vongole and became violently Ill. We had an ambulance called and had to have antibiotic IVs. I was pregnant with my first child and it died two days later due to the toxins. I would do anything to go back in time and not eat here. When we told my husband’s family, his sister said she actually also got food poisoning here several years ago when she was pregnant with her daughter (who luckily survived unlike my own). She reported it to them the same as we did. I did not know this or I would not have eaten there but it makes me even more furious!!! That means Catch have known for years they are poisoning people and yet they continue to operate. They have not changed or improved themselves. It is not a mistake, it is repeat behaviour. They have poisoned 3 people in my immediate family and my unborn child has died from their filthy carelessness. How many more travellers must they be infecting every day, knowing these people will go back to their various countries and Catch will continue to avoid any kind of accountability!!!!!!???? I am furious and disgusted with this bacteria ridden place. I trusted Catch to prepare a meal for me and it’s the biggest regret of my life. Do not eat here, do not risk it, they are blatant repeat offenders and they don’t care who...
