Origami cafe — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

This place is close by so I thought I’d try it. The first time I went in I was told ‘come back later if you want food we are renovating now’. I went back later and was told ‘no you can’t get food today’. No apology was given (should have got the hint then!). I then went back few days later and ordered some poached eggs with smash avocado on toast. In summary: This restaurant took the award for the worse smash avocado and eggs I’ve ever had in my life. The eggs were terribly presented (almost like scrambled than poached) and the smash avocado was basically like a thin green sauce with a taste of avocado than actual smashed fresh avocado. The toast was soggy and not really toasted properly, or maybe it just wasn’t the best bread (should really be good quality sourdough if you want a good smash avocado). I was going to give the waitress some polite and constructive feedback but she seemed to avoid me the whole time I sat there after finishing the food. Even when I got up to leave she walked into the kitchen as she said ‘thank you’. The restaurant itself is very nice but definitely skip this place if you are looking for decent food and conscientious/caring...

Arrived for dinner at a restaurant. Nearly everyone in there was having a business meeting, the top room occupied by about 8 people all on their laptops, got a dirty look when I opened the door to go in like it was their personal office space. Don't these people have an offer or a person space they can use.

Food: order a steak, and that's exactly what I got, a steak, no vegetables no potatoes nothing. A meal should be and ideally needs to be a complete meal, protein, fat and carbs.

I ordered some vegetables and she brought me a salad. I ordered mustard and got spicy Thai sauce. I ordered a soda water never came.

Get a grip or don't bother working, just want the money but can't provide...

I went to this place with my sister during COVID-19 there was less people and we had chance to use villa to having our drinks and food as well. This is extra service on COVID-19 to have more customers and it only me and my sister in the villa as well. I truly impressed with food, drink and service from staffs there. (I heard there is day pass for use the villa as well for group of friend or family; you can check more detail with the restaurant)

The price is way more cheaper than many cafe and restaurants in Phuket town and you won’t disappoint with the taste. There are many very creative cakes there when I first saw and I felt disgusted to eat it, but super tasty...
