Project Artisan — Restaurant in Choeng Thale

We were lucky enough to have our 'abroad' wedding and reception at Project Artisan, and honestly, it was incredible. The team truly went above and beyond for us. Everyone was so kind, helpful, and genuinely eager to make sure everything went smoothly — we really felt taken care of from start to finish.

The venue itself is just beautiful — so lush and green and peaceful, and the added wedding decorations with fresh flowers everywhere. It felt like stepping into a dream, and it gave us a real sense of calm on such a big day.

And the food! It was amazing — proper flavoursome and beautifully cooked. The roti, chicken curry, lamb chops, kofte, coconut ice cream, and passionfruit pavlova were all highlights — our guests were raving about it too.

The organisation was spot on, communication was always clear, and thanks to Anton we felt like we were in safe hands the whole way through.

The attention to detail and the way the team looked after us really meant a lot. If we could do it all again, we’d choose Project Artisan 100 times over. We’re already looking forward to coming back for a visit one day in the future to celebrate our anniversary

This is one place where food, service, décor, and ambience all combine into a memorable, and delicious dining experience. Despite the classy dining décor there is no fine-dining pretense, it’s just genuine enthusiasm from the team for their mission of sustainability, supporting local and farm-fresh fare. Every artistically plated dish makes me wonder how they keep everything so consistent, with the smallest detail offering insight to attention to detail.

Here chunks of fresh salmon are marinated before going into my bowl. I felt this was crucial in creating a meal that was more purposely constructed, rather than just a slapdash of various ingredients to create the typical “colourful” bowl. I was very pleased that it came with avocado! Flavours were cohesive and complement each other with every bite.

Although my tastebuds are still tingling at the spicy powers of Southern Thai – I am happily under the spell of this spicy larb pizza! A Thai-Italian creation that I didn’t expect to like, but now love!

My friend recommended this place so we went to check it out. The atmosphere was very nice; I loved the decorations. We ordered margarita pizza and Bali poke bowl. The pizza was great- thin crust just how I liked it; but the poke bowl came as disappointment as it wasn’t fresh but I ate it anyway.

As I reached the bottom of the bowl; I could taste something sour- rotten sour and stinky. I wasn’t sure but my friend confirmed as she tried it too. We also noticed that the potatoes were not properly cooked. To be honest, I didn’t want to make a fuss as I didn’t plan to return when my friend went to share the feedback with the manager or an owner (not sure).

The manager lady, I assume, came to apologise and refunded the poke bowl without us asking. I was very impressed by how the issue was handled. I am surely going to visit the restaurant again on my next trip and I will give it another go with the Bali poke bowl 😊
