The Abyss - ร้านพิซซ่า เตาฟืน — Restaurant in Chom Phon Subdistrict

I found it over-pricy for average food. The place is beautiful due to a gigantic aquarium wall. If you are lucky to have a table by this wall, you are in for an amazing dinner. Their speciality is pizzas cooked in a wood oven, which we did not try, prefering to eat local food than European. Note that their pizzas are very expensive around 400 bhats. We had a chicken madaman, recommended as their n°1 thai dish (175 bhats). Presentation was poor, looked like a soup with 3 vegetables, 1 leave and a piece of chicken floating. Taste was average. Steamed rice was good (30 bhats). Pad thai was very well presented and original but the taste was very average (285 bhats), I had tastier pad thai in more humble places. The fried chicken appetizers were well presented but were basically chicken wings with lemongrass on top and sweet and spicy sauce. The best were the shakes, well presented, very tasty, normal price (90 bhats). Service was good, all the staff is very kind (we were the only table having dinner). Prices exclude 7% VAT and a 10% service charge. So we ended with a bill of 982 bhats for 2 shakes and 3 dishes. We can afford it but it felt way too expensive...

The food is fair, not as I expected since I watched the review from social media. Thus, for me, the price is expensive, especially the Caesar Salad, which I am disappointed. No car parking is available in the restaurant or the hotel because there is construction in the hotel and it needs the area for...
