WOW! PUCKER TUCKER, GAME ON!
We were staying at the Nantra, next door and popped in here late afternoon thinking it was a fish market due to the big open sided shed structure, reminiscent of farmer's markets in the UK.
As you enter you will see water filled tanks filled with live crustaceans and fish etc so if you choose any of those, many of which you can actually choose the specific one you want, you will know it is as fresh as it could possibly be.
We saw there were dining tables so sat at one by the side wall overlooking the beach and ordered our fish meals. Both of which were incredible and very reasonably priced.
As we ate we noticed the staff setting up more tables and chairs further down tne restaurant as well as those on the beach itself. Most had reserves flags on them. I asked the main waiter, who had the best grasp of English, if there was a special event on that night and, looking puzzled, he said no just a normal night. This surprised me until, just before 6pm, crowds started to arrive.
This place is where the locals and those who stay in the condotels further south at Ban Amphur Beach come for their fish meals and it is busy after 6pm every night if the week. We strongly recommend you eat here but...
Read moreThere are 2 areas to dine at: the first is the stone table or wooden table by the beach (no roof) and the second is normal outdoor seatings with roof. The restaurant is quite clean and seems pretty new (could be well maintained or newly renovated). There is limited parking. Seafood menu is delicious- at a price range from affordable to somewhat expensive, but it matches the good and fresh quality. We tried fried squid with salted egg, กั้งผัดกระเทียม, ปูนิ่มผัดกระเทียม (fried soft-shell crab with garlic), fried rice with crab, and a few other menus. All of them were very delicious and came out from the kitchen at an unexpectedly fast pace even though when we got there it was prime time for dinner and there was a huge crowd there (lots of locals and Chinese tourists). The staff was friendly and service was good. Bookmarked this place- we'll definitely be back to try their other dishes! clean restroom with โถชักโครกแบบนั่ง & สายฉีดชำระ & tissue.
(I did not take photos of the food because we sat at the table by the beach and sun already set, so my photos were dark, but I took a few of the atmosphere and the table that were...
Read moreLocal Thai seafood restaurant that has been continuously living up to its fame. The quality of the seafood? Undeniablh fresh. The taste of their cooking? Delicious and always leaves good impressions on your tastebud. Preecha has been a comfort seafood restaurant for many families and people from Pattaya and all across other cities and provinces.
While they have a vast big menu list, I have to say that not every single one is a rockstar. I suggest to stick to the recommended menu and ask for advices from the staff. They don't lie about thsir specialties.
They also have non-seafood Thai menu, but people usually order them as a "filler".
The service is very fast, every staff is very hardworking and always trying thsir best to serve us well.
In the end, it's not a 5 star fine dining, the atmosphere is always crowded and busy but never messy or dirty. It's not the ambience you're looking for if you want to go for a date. You come here for the food.
The price, the portion, and the taste, they are all in perfect balance. We always order too much than we can handle but never been disappointed...
