. Room 4/5 Service 4/5 Food/Breakfast 4/5 Staff friendliness 1/5
After 5 nights here, I'm thinking of giving a little feedback now.
The rooms were good, lots of equipment in the kitchen where you could cook some food. The bed was good in both rooms we had. However. The first day when you checked in, the AC system was not working. It just made hot air. So it was a bad night without sleep. When we complained, I found that they tackled the problem quickly. When they first tried to fix it, then waited a few hours to see if it got better, which it didn't. Then we had to change rooms. The TV did not work in the new room. Again one had to make another inquiry to the staff. And it was fixed quickly. Later in the night we experienced losing the water in the hotel room. Then we had to send an inquiry again. And one more thing. It was arranged during the night. But after this, I and my entourage experience that the service staff will be. Inner hay fly. The staff don't greet when we say hello, they don't smile. But is grumpy and rude. This is repeated throughout the stay. Something that makes one not feel welcome. There also was a problem with English communication. Sometimes i didn't feel that they understand what i was saying. The only people who are really nice are the site security guards. Who greets, wishes us a nice day and smiles. Because of him, they save at least a little of the impression
The location of the place is ok. But before you consider this place and are a western tourist I have a general request. If you like city life, don't book here. There are often problems with getting a taxi. Bath buses rarely run along the main road. And very often taxi drivers argue about the price. They want double the price of what the trip costs. If, on the other hand, you like it calm and relaxed, this is the place for you. It is a calm and quiet environment, a short distance to the beach and few people there.
The cleanliness of the place is impeccable. It is clean in the rooms and in the surrounding area. Then you have dust on your brain. You will not be disappointed here. The breakfast of the e place are realy good. It is a variable and good breakfast with different opportunity to have differently things to eat.
The hotel also washed our clothes. After 4 weeks in Thailand and visited many hotels. So this hotel was the cheapest for laundry. 1300 baht to wash a good part of the wardrobe we had.
All in all a good stay. What detracts much from the impression are the staff's attitudes. It has a lot to say for the stay to be good. There it failed. And one more thing, there was not hot water in the shower.

Read moreModern boutique Hotel, friendly staff, great rooftop bar and restaurant. I gave 5 star for what you get from what you paid means good value. The room is very new, in a very good shape and clean. NO mold as sometimes could be found in very old buildings. Check in process was easy and friendly, our luggages were taken from the car at the drop off area and placed in our rooms conveniently. Booking process was also easy, that we got a one night voucher and clearly instructed about weekend surcharges. We booked another room and select so-called "sea view, with bathtub at the balcony" which is 90 % met my expectation. Beyond expectation is that this type of room got 4 seat-dining table, large refrigerator, stove for cooking!, living area with 2 small sofas and another area with a sofa bed that you can be comfortable if you do a long stay. The total area of the room is not large, but was designed to deliver all the function . The room part that below my expectation is the balcony and bathtub area, that is quite smaller than expected , but from the overall hotel size, perhaps, it was the best they could do.
The hilight of the hotel is rooftop bar and poolsided restaurant. I think it is great, cozy and enjoyable with friendly staff.
If you order Thai food, be careful with the level of spice (hot). The low level is quite hot still.
This is good hotel that...

Unimpressed issues :
I recently made a call to the hotel's listed public telephone number found on the X2's homepage (and in my vouchers) and asked for Reservation, the operator cannot direct or transfer the call. For some funny reason, the operator told me to call another cellphone number in order to reach the Reservation.
After calling to the given number, the Reservation officer answered the phone. When I told her that I wanted to make a reservation using the PREPAID vouchers, she quickly told me with a somewhat erratic tone of voice that I need to send in the email stating my reservation detail and show her the voucher's screenshots. I tried to tell her on the phone about the reservation detail but couldn't finish the sentences as she kept repeating her words about having me send in the email. Although her words are downright formal, but the gesture of persisting to ask for an email is quite disturbing for the fact that reservation process could be made easier via phone call without needing the customer to waste time composing an email with the exact same info!
Suggestion : If you need the customer to send in the email for every reservation, why tell the customer to phone Reservation in the first place. (The instruction for making reservation is right there in the vouchers.) This...
