✨ i chose this restaurant so that we can try local Phuket food. A short walk from our first hotel, Hotel IKON (800m). ✨ Pinto means tiffin carrier in Thai, so u will see a huge tiffin statue outside as well as many tiffins on display in the restaurant. ✨ restaurant is air-conditioned so you can dine in comfort here. They also have an al fresco dining area. ✨ the menu here is massive, with pics of the food. They have a huge range of local Phuket cuisine, Thai food as well as western food. Took us a while to decide what to have. ✨ Moo Hong (230 baht) - their signature dish, and the most famous dish from Phuket cuisine. Stewed pork belly with Thai herbs and spices, influenced by Hokkien immigrants from Fujian, China. They do it very well here, with thick gelatinous pieces of pork belly and a sauce which is slightly sweeter than the Chinese Version. ✨ Pak Lieng Pad Woon Sen (200 baht) - trying out their local vegetable, pak Liang or melinjo leaves. They cook it together with glass noodles, prawns and eggs. The dish was quite peppery, pretty delicious! ✨ fried crab meat yellow curry powder (490 baht) - lump crab meat cooked in curry powder, delish! Our fav dish of the evening. ✨ crab meat omelette (200 baht) - Not the Jay Fai type, but thin flat Thai omelette (khai jiao). Nice and fluffy. ✨ steamed rice (80 baht). ✨ coconut shake (105 baht) - coconut shake served in a whole coconut. Refreshing! 💯 ✨ matcha strawberry latte (115 baht). ✨ overall nice ambiance, comfortable and food is well presented and delicious. Highly recommended! One of the best meals we had in Phuket.

Read moreWe enjoyed a delicious Thai dinner here when we visited last month. It is an easy walk from our hotel accommodation.m, with only a short incline at the very end from the main road. There is some indoor seating but these tables were already occupied when we arrived so we were seated out the back in a covered outdoor area. I am not sure if they take reservations but I would do this if you don’t want to sit outside in the heat. The menu is quite big, there are a lot of dishes - I only took photos of a small section of the menu. All food was tasty, it was a step up from some of the other local restaurants we tried. As we were seated outdoors (under cover), we saw some wild life (geckos and stray cats). The stray cats are confident and as I have cats at home, I know to ignore them and definitely NOT feed them. However, a gentleman on the next table got up to feed the kittens and as a result they started to approach the tables and even confidently jumped up onto the unoccupied tables. I am an animal lover but this is not something to be encouraged at a restaurant. For this reason I have marked down the atmosphere rating. Overall great food...
Read moreI went to this restaurant for an early dinner so it was very quiet. As soon as we walked up we were greeted by a very nice waiters. They sat us down and handed me a menu. Everything had a picture which was GREAT ! I wanted to try the panang and my girlfriend wanted to get something with a pineapple bowl. I order the chicken panang with a side of rice and she ordered the shrimp fried rice in a pineapple bowl and we shared a shrimp papaya salad. We received the food fairly quickly and you could tell it was freshly made. The food was FANTASTIC !! So flavourful and spicy ( I asked for it to be spicy ).
The restaurant is very clean and very modern looking. It was a nice change from all the street food we have been eating. The ambiance was great for a nice quiet dinner and the service was great. I would for sure come back when I’m in Karon.
The prices are very reasonable. We needed up spending 540 bhat on 2 Coke’s , 1 water , 1 shrimp fried rice in pineapple bowl, 1 chicken panang ,1 side of rice , 1 shrimp papaya salad. That’s a...
