We have just had lunch here and we are still overwhelmed. One of the nicest experiences I have ever had in a restaurant.
The owners are a couple, she cooks and he serves the tables. Right after arriving, the owner brought us mango and tee, for free. We ordered Pad Thai and it was delicious, we had already tried this dish in Thailand but tjis one was much richer, with more veggies and chicken than usual and not only noodles.
While eating the owner gave us a roti (like a sweet thai pancake) and two ice creams. Again, for free.
The local is decorated with pictures that the clients have made for the owners, always showing true appreciation. A very authentic place.
Finally, when trying to pay, he told us that tbe prices in the menu were wrong and the actual prices were lower. Unbelievable. Not only he gave us food for free, he was also honest with the bill charging less than we thought. When we tried to give him a well deserved tip, he refused to accept, then he tried to make us give a lower tip amd finally after inisiting a lot he accepted the whole tip we wanted to give him. After this he gave us again for free a bottle of water and a bottle of coconut water.
Thank you very much! I wish the world was as nice and kind as these persons...

Read moreThis was by far the worst food experience in Bangkok! We decided to go since it had so many good reviews and all seemed delighted. Well, reality was very different! If you are a foodie, and recognize easily an authentiv Tom Yum and Pad Thai you realise in a second this is but a big trap. We ordered Tom Yum, Pad Thai, Som Tam. We were brought very quickly a big portion of Mango Sticky Rice, saying that it is on the house. We were surprised by this gift. Then Tom Yum arrived. A bit too muvh tomatoes, below average quality I would say. Then we got the other dishes. Pad Thai was unedible and the texture was something like vomit. Then another "gift" from the house, a roti! At the end, the owner also gave us a bag with fruit, another cooked dish, and two beers.
Well, that is how they do their rating. Gifting people food. They struggle to compensate for the bad food. I came here to pay for good food, not being fooled.
I definitely not recommend this place. It is a lousy tourist place! The walls are full of tourist reviews, especially written/draw by children, to impress people. Not to mention it is somehow hidden on some alleys. Not worth the time, nor the money.
There are way more authentic places in Bangkok, with real food and...
