Started by giving it 5 stars. But have to change it down to 1.

We’ve been to many jazz bars. This is the first time we got charged a “music charge” without anyone telling us about it. We didn’t agree to it before sitting down. And they refused to remove it fully.

They excuse? We were supposed to read it on a tiny font on a poorly lit poster at the corner of the entrance. Similar like those terms and conditions you see on websites.

Completely spoils the otherwise amazing experience. Extremely dishonest and borderline illegal practice.

EDIT: You may charge whatever you like. Charge 5,000 if you wish. Point is, it must be stated clearly. Otherwise it’s a scammy practice.

1. You could make the text large and make it visible by putting it right at the door instead of the tiny font in the corner.

2. You could tell people about it before they sit down. It would take 5 seconds.

3. You could charge a ticket at the door.

But you do none of that. Instead, you choose to hide this charge.

Are we supposed to read your terms and conditions, Facebook page, IG, etc before we even sit down? Just to make sure there is nothing being hidden anywhere? How absurd is that?

If you ask people to pay for something they didn’t agree with, it’s a scam. As simple as that. Shame that you choose to make...

Authentic Jazz Experience Just Outside Central Bangkok

This long-standing jazz bar offers a truly original and authentic experience for jazz lovers. With its rich history and distinctive atmosphere, it’s a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine jazz vibe in Bangkok.

While the location is slightly outside the city center, it remains easily accessible. Taking a Grab is highly recommended, as parking options are limited to street-side spaces.

The food is decent, though not the main highlight of the visit. We ordered a total of three bottles—champagne and red wine—as reflected on the receipt, which gives a good indication of pricing for both food and beverages. We didn’t try any cocktails during this visit.

What truly sets this venue apart is the music. The live bands are exceptional, with top-tier musicianship and an engaging performance. A standout of the evening was the singer, Mia, whose talent and stage presence left a lasting impression. She was absolutely superb!

Went there on valentines (fri night) without reservation having low expectation on getting a table. The place was pretty packed but we’re welcomed by presumably the owner telling us to wait and that he’ll manage to get us a table. We waited on the other connecting room but still could hear the live jazz band playing. After we waited for quite a while, luckily we got the table right in front of the band.

The food - we had 2 italian dishes, a risotto and a fusion spicy spaghetthi. Tastes great (maybe out of hunger 😂) but took almost an hour for the food to get prepped probly because it’s valentines, not sure abt normal hours.

The music - impressive, very talented and encouraging band. Will surely return for jazz band. (Available only on thurs, fri, sat night)

The drink - minus one star for overpriced cocktail. Taste fine but the glass was so tiny. (Costs 350thb++ for signature cocktail).
