Tealily Café Ekkamai — Restaurant in Khlong Tan Nuea Subdistrict

Tried out this cafe located hidden inside a residential area in Ekkamai. Since it’s in a residential area, parking is a bit difficult because have to park curb side. The place itself is very homey and has that minimalistic decor. Tried out the Matcha Au Lait & Houjicha Latte. Both drinks are superb. The tea is intense and perfectly accompanied by the milk. For desserts got the Kuromitsu Dango & Matcha Bannoffee (the later is available on weekends & public holidays only). Unfortunately for me, the desserts is not upto par compared to their drinks. The dango is a bit bland and the kuromitsu sauce is a bit on the thick side, which make it unable to coat the dango all around. The bannoffee has a bit bitter crust and the cream part is just bland. Need a bit of improvement for the desserts but the drinks are perfect already. The place is also really nice to just chill. And the owners are really friendly...

Hole in a wall.. way over rated. if u r a tourist, just don't bother to waste your time, tuktuk n taxi don't even know the place.. after reaching you will have a hard time fimdfin it cos it is one of the unit along a residential row of houses, no signboard at all, the plants at the gate.amd the car inside block the view of the cafe, makimg it totally invisible. And the tea?? Hahaha.. basically the secret recipe is putting a lot of matcha powder in ancup, that's what peop called authentic, I think the team will make japJapan laugh! Ordered a cold lemonade, super concentrated, small glass, at 130B, I bet u can get a much much better lemonade along any streets in BKK tat costs 1/4 of the price but taste much better. Absolutely terrible, overrated and overpriced. Don’t waste time to grab a tuk tuk coming here. The place is small and not enough aircon. Very hot inside only if you were lucky to find a table that a fan near by. The matcha was terrible. besides of the water too hot which can cause the matcha deteriorated. It was not made property. I was expecting the old lady beside the bar would have some incredible tea making skill to make the tea. Sadly it just not good at all. I could not finish it at all. The taste was just weird. I’m sorry I wasted 70baht going there and 120baht for the matcha. Therefore I can only give...
