Kho Kwang Seafood — Restaurant in Ko Lanta Yai

This is the only seafood place that we consider acceptable for our standard in fresh seafood eating. They don't have live seafood at the time that we visited but we can order out of the menu. The fried smelt fish - small fish - with garlic and pepper is excellent as well as the Thai papaya salad authentic. Just from judging the 2 dishes, there is a confirmation that the chef is a professional in authentic Thai cuisine, a rare find in Ko Lanta. Their price, although expensive in comparaison to Bangkok pricing, is still reasonable for the quality dishes that you hardly find anywhere in Lanta. This lunch time, we will heading back for another round of seafood craving, targeting for Live sea crab as I noticed from the tank at entrance. If you like seafood, you cannot go wrong with this place! I forgot to mention that you can relax with a nice view...

We saw good reviews on both Google and Agoda and decided to give this restaurant a try. They offer a free shuttle service from your hotel to Kaw Kwang and back, which was very convenient and saved us over 200 baht. The food was the best we've had on our 2 week trip in Thailand, we will definitely visit again. We had the spicy mango prawn salad, whole deep fried fish with sweet and sour sauce and prawns in a chilli sauce. The ingredients were fresh, the dishes were very tasty and the portion sizes are decent. As you will see in most other reviews their prices are higher than other restaurants in the area, but it's definitely worth it. We had a table right at the water with quite a nice...

If you're in the mood for some truly delicious Thai cuisine, Kho Kwang Seafood is a must-visit! (This is an honest review, I am a Thai tourist and I have been trying some seafood and Thai food during my stay at Koh Lanta and I found that this is the most impressive one!)

Every dish I've tried has been full of fresh ingredients and rich, vibrant flavors. The atmosphere is welcoming and warm (you can see the sunset view here).

I also love the Mango Sticky Rice, so pretty and tasty. Also the price is very reasonable comparing to the quality of ingredients and real Thai food flavor. 💯
