A really SAD EXPERIENCE, we arrived late, there was nothing going on, there were two of us and we wanted to enjoy a nice evening! We were greeted as is usual in tourist places, where are you from, then a few words in our local language, that was usually too exaggerated for us! Even though there were two of us, we were seated on the largest table, for 10 people, in the middle of the restaurant, not very romantic! As professionals, because we are restaurateurs at a famous restaurant in our homeland, I already suspected that things would be different here. I wasn't thinking about eating the fish that was so praised, but rather cautiously eating fried rice, but we drove all the way because of the great reviews and the fish is supposed to be so good in two different ways. So, based on the recommendation, I choose a beakfish, but because we are already hungry and the fish needs longer, followed by fried rice with shrimp, morning glory and the famous tomato salad. The food came very quickly, the fried rice came without lime and after a month in Thailand, it was one of the weakest in terms of taste and visually disappointing. The rest was ok but no burner either. Suddenly after about 20 minutes the fish came, we picked a big one, but it seemed bigger! On 2 plates, one pickled with garlic and the other pickled with curry! So as a chef I tell you this fish needs at least 1/2 hour on the grill and then it is more than hot when served! Even though we said please not spicy, my wife couldn't eat the curry, it came out lukewarm and completely dry! Of course you can complain about the fish, but we are on vacation and don't want to discuss it! I don't want to go into more detail about the fish and I don't want to accuse anyone of anything, but sorry, there's a lack of love and style here! It's a shame about the evening and the money, because it's not that cheap right now! Lobster menu for 2 for €3500!! In Bangkok I paid 2200 for the biggest lobster that came on the grill in...
Read moreMy wife and I have visited this place multiple times, and each time we leave with an unforgettable experience. From the moment we step inside, we are greeted with warm smiles and a friendly atmosphere. The owners, make sure that every guest feels welcome and at home.
The highlight of this restaurant is definitely the food. The fresh caught fish and seafood are simply remarkable. The flavors are incredibly delicious and the presentation is always impressive. The menu as well as the catch of the day, has a wide variety of options to choose from.
What makes this restaurant even more special is the family-owned business. The owners are very friendly and inviting. They make sure to treat their guests like family. We were told to consider their place as a second home, and we really felt that they meant it. They are open for a chat and will tell you about their history and culture, as well as nice things to see and do in Ko Lanta.
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the owners are truly passionate about what they do. This is easily one of the best restaurants in Ko Lanta, and we can't wait to come...
Read moreVisited this restaurant twice as it was very near my hotel, Twin Lotus. Good friendly and welcoming service. Lots of seating and tables in a nice open air setting, albeit covered in case of rain. Good menu with a choice of standard Thai food as well as the specials which is freshly caught fish, prawns, lobster, crab, that you can choose from and is priced by weight. First time i chose fish filet from the menu which was really good. Second time I chose fresh king prawns in a garlic and chilli(🌶🌶) sauce and some steamed rice. Wow, the prawns were cooked perfectly and the sauce was fabulous but you just have to watch how much chilli you are eating (depending on how spicy) you like it. I went medium but they will cook as you prefer. If you want to choose a fresh option everything is laid out at the back of the restaurant just by the kitchen and they will help you select whatever you want and how you want it cooked and what sauce etc. It can seem daunting but believe me it's definitely worth trying. This is a great restaurant, very well run and managed, whilst being helpful...
