Went this place last night after get recommended from a thai friend. Was told it's a very famous restaurant where have famous tiktoker come to visit and do reviews. So i had a try. Seriously. I wont come again. Even my gf is a thai. She say she wont come again. Food : taste really normal. Not delicious. The recommendation in their menu, french onion soup. Is a joke. My gf said it's taste like mama. In thai mama mean instant noodles. Price : overpriced. Price charge same like a luxury and high end restaurant in Thailand. Service: super slow. Last night was not busy and crowded in the restaurant. But i waited 40 minutes to get my 2 plate of fried rice. Its really slow for a thai standard. My gf say they go to the sea to catch the seafood's ingredient to cook. That why slow.
Overall. This place is a tourist trap. Overrated. They charge you for 5 star price but the foods taste and quality were not up to that standard. Even small street vendors and shop taste better then them.
Not recommended. And i wont go again. By the way i already been to more then 30 provinces in thailand and i had so many thai foods. I speak thai and eat like a local. This is the first time i write a negative reviews for a restaurant. I not those tourists or people that have my first meal in thailand or its my first trip to thailand that give...
Read moreThis place is a tourist trap, simply because of its location. We waited an hour and forty minutes for our food, it seems like they didn't know how to make it. We ordered salmon steak and beef tenderloin steak. They have a pretty fancy menu with all of these western dishes. Then, when I asked what's taking so long, she tried. To offer me Thai food, said it will be faster. Only problem is, we've already waited an hour and a half at that point. Our drinks took 20 minutes. When they were finally ready, they waited at the bar for 10 minutes, and we asked for them to just be brought to us, but ended up having to get up to get it ourselves. Not sure what kind of operation they're running here, but this is NOT professional. When the food finally came, my fish was undercooked and the steak was overcooked and over spiced. The waitress felt bad and gave us a 10% discount, which I appreciated, but still, the service and food were lacking in every aspect. Hence, the unavoidable one star. I wouldn't recommend this...
Read moreWe ensure that we visit Sala Lanta in Town at least twice each time we visit Koh Lanta and this time we managed 4 times.
As soon as you get to the restaurant you are met with the most friendly team ever, they are clearly so happy in their work, there are hugs and so much enthusiasm. It does not end there, they are helpful and nothing seems too much bother, they know the menu inside out and give you honest advice on what to choose.
The location is perfect, right ion. The middle of Saladan and opposite the Walking Street Market, so before and after you eat there is plenty to do right there, and its convenient. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and well decorated, it managed to get just the right mix between Thai culture and modern décor.
When you receive your food it is brilliantly presented and looks amazing, the portions are large so do not over order! And the taste is out of this world, all reasonably priced.
Needless to say we will be...
