Thai Smile Restaurant — Restaurant in Ko Lanta Yai

What a beautiful bangalow and also the most kind people we’ve met! It made me feel so much like home. Dave shared so much with us about Thailand, he is such a great host :)

I was initially worried as the reviews seems to be mostly about the restaurant but everything about our stay was perfect!

The room had everything we needed, they even prepared a bag with the beach towels so we don’t have to worry about packing ours when heading out to the beach. So thoughtful!

The staff at the restaurant, especially the male staff. He was so kind, helpful and attentive whenever we have our meals there. Making sure our tables are clean and we have our menus.

The restaurant as the review have reflected, serves really good food! It is always full during dinner, so go early if you don’t want to wait too long for a table.

It is also close enough to the beach where we often go for a quick swim and had drinks or dinner over the sunset.

I would definitely be back when I’m in...

Dave is an amazing host. Whether it was a.m. coffee, hassle-free (and inexpensive) scooter rentals or laundry. Everything you need is at Thai Smile. ||Lek is a ridiculously great chef. I had the Massuman curry twice and couldn’t get enough. Just get to the restaurant early as the tables go fast! ||The location is off the main road, so it’s nice and quiet. There are only 6 bungalows and they are very clean and well appointed. The bed was comfortable, fresh sheets and towels every two days. Shampoo and soap provided as well as free water in a reusable water bottle. Lucky and Mr. Concrete (the cats) will keep you company as well. And the garden around the bungalows is gorgeous!||The beach at Klong Khong is a bit rocky, so it’s okay to swim in at higher tide, but not so much at low tide. However, it makes up for it with great bars, restaurants and epic sunsets.|||This was more than a place to stay. We made great friends here and were so sad...
