The Frog — Restaurant in Ko Lanta Yai

Great food in a really nice restaurant in Saladan. We sat in the garden and had a really good time. Staff was friendly, helpful and food and drinks arrived according to order in in perfect timing. Mozzarella plate + garlic prawns as starter, great taste and nicely displayed on the plate. We ordered chicken nuggets as starter for the kids. Main was big burger for me and prawn sallad for my wife. Kids had small burgers. Burgers are very tasty and served with aoili for dipping the fries. Prawn sallad was really good but to few prawns for that price also ordered extra feta cheese for the sallad but only three small cubes very added. Coffee was great. Over all well worth a visit, great food, great place, great staff but a bit overpriced for what was served (in amounts) might have has to high expectations due to the rumours going on about the Frog. Big plus for wine meny, Asahi on tap, really fresh toilets and they fixed great with balloons for one of my daughters birthday party....

Forts, the good stuff, it's very nicely decorated, the terrace and yard are both cozy and nice. The food (we had Thai, yellow curry w. crab and pang) is ok, if a bit pricey, especially the western dishes.

Then to the bad...The service sadly is lacking,even though the waiter(s) were nice they were hard to get the attention of, and we waited some 5 minutes before even getting a menu(had to ask for it). We ordered starters, but they brought our main dishes in, and we never saw the starter (though on a positive note we didn't see it on the bill either). Ok place with great ambience and good if you want something else than Thai, and if you want wine with your food, though their Thai food...

We loved everything about this place! Visited with a large group of friends (15 people) and booked by messaging on WhatsApp with the phone number on the website.

We sat in the lovely garden, and ordered a mix of Thai and western food. All the food that came out was excellent. Special mentions to the burrata starter, khao soi, gambas style prawns. The ribs were outstanding (possibly best ribs I’ve ever had), so tender that when you picked up the bone the meat just fell off. So delicious. Also the staff were so friendly and attentive. Really cannot recommend this...
