Samui Kobori — Restaurant in Ko Samui

So, a while ago, i left a very honest opinion of this kobori, It was short and to the point of what i felt and still feel... FOOD EXPENSIVE, AND NOT VERY GOOD... the owner then proceeded to spread all over the internet that i was mentally ill... In thailand this is a very serious offence to commit, defamation of character... Then last night, outside his restaurant he attempted to assault me, he's a skinny little guy with no muscle, so i just swatted her away, like a little bug, (HER)..... SO, thats, two offences i can haul him into court over. He also wrote that i was opening a restaurant next door to him, in the same street, this is true, its called K. O. B. And has excellent and much cheaper food, you should all try it... Now his threats last night revolved around the fact that i should now come to his restaurant, so i offer you his advice to me,, , STAY OUT OF MY RESTAURANT KOBORI.... I'm sure there will be more to this story when he reads this and attacks me again either verbally and /or physically... Lets, all wait with baited breath.......

We enjoyed inari zushi, karage, sushi tuna, chicken katsu curry, assorted tempura, edamame, miso soup, yakisoba vegetarian and ramen pork. Four of us all enjoyed our shared meal, we had asahi on tap beer and soda water. Staff very good there. We booked but didnt need to. They have inside with AC and outside seating. Mostly bench style outside and upright chairs and banquette inside. They have clean guest toilets. We spent 500thb per person which was food and beverage. There is roadside parking. They offer take away too. Food menu easy to understand, all dishes have a picture. We notice some portion has got smaller such as karage and tuna sushi (now very thin) and we felt edamame not so fresh. But over all we love Kobori, have enjoyed it since first located in Maenam and now Nathon only. lt delivers a fine Japanese meal with lovely staff. Oh and they always give free fruit and cold towel at the end. For some reason tonight we could only pay by cash, no scan or qr.code...

Super lunch.. This restaurant did come highly recommended by a Koh Samui local... And for us a bit of a drive.. however worth every kilometer! Greeted and warmly welcomed by servers and the owner extraordinaire Sushi chef.. Menu extensive and probably something for everyone.. The fresh local sushi was delectable. We tried to mix up the menu which resulted in Local fish sushi, pork gyoza , salad, tofu and green tea ice cream. Dishes arrived well spaced, Presentation dreamy.. taste was incredibly fresh , portions were of perfect size and service with more than a smile. To be honest.. The restaurant does not have a lot of curb appeal.. But interior is quite lovely and extremely clean and this also includes the toilets.. which matters a lot to me.. take pride and cleanliness in restroom space .. results in a very conscious team who work in a clean sanitized kitchen.. Don’t miss this place if you are craving Japanese cuisine whilst on...
