Krua Savoey — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

The positives: great location just off the beach front. Great, super tasty and we'll presented food, which is very well priced. Good coffee, and good options for breakfast, lunch, dinner. It's possible to pay with a card (3% surcharge)

The negative: the service is painfully slow. I went there two times, once for dinner, once for breakfast. Dinner time I waited around 45-50 minutes for my food. Also the main arrived earlier than the starter. My neck almost got completely twisted as I tried to catch the eyes of any of the waitresses - nothing. I had to stand up to enquire about the starter, one lady said she would ask the kitchen. She left and never came back, I kept on waiting. I stood up again to chase the starter, around 10 minutes later it arrived. The whole hustle ruined the entire experience. Went back for breakfast, basically I was the only customer but the waiting situation was more or less the same. I had to stand up and walk to the waiters as practically it was ages to wait for somebody to come. Worst experience! Never again! First: the Glases for drinks came on table dirty as nobody can imagine- inside mold of old drinks- we send them back, but not one word of excuses- the owner(lady) was involved in our orders, neither she was able to manage correct. For kids pizza was never selfmade and asking for a 20 cm Frozen pizza baht 180 is overpriced. We had a yellow curry : cook couldn’t be Thai! Overpriced with baht 150 for : No taste, more water than curry- cannot explain with words this disappointment. A whole red snapper which we ordered deep fried with garlic and ginger arrived first the half of, cannot understand that kind of presentation, since 15 years coming to Samui never had such a dry fish, a unflavored , tasteless and dried out fish. Everything at that place is dirty. Can not understand those good reviews, the time for this restaurant is wasted as money too. Only: the view on sunset is nice, but only with that a restaurant...

Pretty restaurant in front of the sea, with a good chief, kind staff and honest prices. I have had the pleasure to eat in Krua Savoei Seafood few times and its always been a pleasure to come back again. The food is fresh and the quality seems good. I have had always delicious dinners. The spot is very relaxing. I usually love to take duck with rise or noodles. And i appreciate a lot to drink their iced coffee. The last time that i have been there i ordered 3 dishes of duck (2 to take away), 1 steamed rise, 2 iced coffee and i payed 560 bath, around 14 euro (15 us dollars). Another time i have eaten a big dish full of duck, 1 small dish of noodles, 1 large thai bear (Leo but Singha or Chang costs all the same, 100 bath, around 2,60 euro), 1 iced coffe and watermelon: I payed 350 bath (9 euros) and i was so full and satisfied.
