Baan Suan Krua — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

We went to this restaurant twice, and I wish we had discovered it on Google Maps earlier, not right before leaving for Pattaya. My favourite Tom Yum with shrimp ever! The crab omelette was delicious, although the crab wasn’t cleaned perfectly — there were some shell pieces left, so it was a bit tricky to eat. But there was plenty of crab! The coconuts were amazing — big, sweet, and honestly the best I’ve tried in six trips to Thailand. Grilled prawns were fantastic, and the mango sticky rice was just perfect. We ordered a couple of mains and a mango sticky rice to take away. Food was pretty mediocre and the prices were relatively high. Spicy corn salad - wasn't spicy at all and it had way too much garlic, which unfortunately overpowered the whole dish Spicy seafood salad - one of the baby squids wasn't cleaned properly and it exploded in my mouth with slimy entrails, not very pleasant experience Fried rice with chicken and mango sticky rice were actually quite nice.

I love this place! I ate curry and prawn cake. The curry was super moist and the prawn cake was crispy. The mango juice is VERY good. Also,the ice latte is a must try! I drank a little bit(im 10 yrs old btw😅) You are near the sea and even though you cant see the sea,the can smell the lovely aroma of sea water. And its just a short walk to the beach! There are many othwr restuarants around the area that you should try. Overall,this is the best restuarant in Koh Samui!(PS:the kitchen is...
