At rich cafe'Koh Kwang Beach — Restaurant in Krabi Province

This was a terrible lunch experience. Extremely unpleasant.

We came in very hungry, were offered nice seats near the beach. All good so far. We ordered mango smoothies, coconut soup and pad thai. We asked for one of the mango smoothies to have no ice.

The waiter after a while brought us our mango smoothies. The one without ice probably had about 100ml of mango juice. It was tiny. I am sorry, but we ordered mango smoothies without ice in many places and it was only a tiny bit smaller or equal size relative to the one with ice. When we explained to the waiter that we have a problem, the waiter completely dismissed our concerns, and simply walked off. That is not acceptable.

The waiter was also very strange in general. Walking around us making very strange sounds. People come to a restaurant not just for food, but also a good experience. This was not a pleasant experience.

Lastly, when the bill came and we paid with cash, they bought us entirely incorrect change missing about 200 baht.

Never again. I do not...

Ambiance is great but If you’re there for more than just beer and coffee while taking on the sea…. this is NOT the place. The menu shows cocktails but the staff have their own recipe for the names listed. Alcohol used smells like a hospital disinfectant.

English is not well understood so this will lead to a lot of confusion. If and item says Squid & Chips, you don’t get the chips. If you want to modify any item… don’t. You won’t get what you want. Order what’s there and hope for the best. Whatever we ordered tasted ok. Thai food is the safest bet….. you’re in Thailand!!!

Double check what you ordered or if the order has been placed because the lady there forgets. Heard this from another tourist later.

The wine is stale. The cocktails are horrendous. Toilet is clean.

This café has many advantages that are not easy to find in other cafés in Krabi province. First, it is cool and fresh, with good AC, which allows you to escape the scorching Krabi sun. Second, their is a large choice of delicious drinks, with tasty coffee mixes and plenty of tea possibilities. The chairs are perfectly suited to support your back while you browse the internet on their rapid wifi connection. The café has a direct access to the beach which provides a wonderful view on the Andaman sea and the islets off the coast. The place is very clean and tastefully decorated, and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Basically a great place to stay at for a few hours or more when you are in Klong...
