Larb Koi Roi Et — Restaurant in Krabi Province

Don’t go here, if they see you are a foreigner, they just try to cheat you, as in many places in Thailand sadly. They are very dishonest, you end up having a sour taste from the food out of the experience.

First time we went here the curry had rice included (and you can see they serve it for locals) second time we order the same but all of the sudden each rice cost 25bath per person.

We ordered shrimps which had a picture on the menu and a number and we stated several times that we wanted the dish number 2 pointed, point the picture. First they try to serve us fried rice instead which we didn’t order. After 2 tries they came to revise the order and we confirmed again that we asked for the number 2 shrimps and not the fried rice. In the menu said 60baths , we got an small portion of 5 shrimps and when going to pay they wanted to charge us 120bath. We asked for the menu and they try to explain us that what we ordered is double the price because is a big portion that 60baths is rice with 2 shrimps. In the picture we could clearly see that the image was few shrimps on the plate and on the bill you could see that she crossed the price and wrote 120 on the top

Really local place with local pricing. Excellent menu with Southern food I hadn’t seen before. Specializes in stewed beef. Ordered a bitter soup with beef offal, raw beef laab, corn salad and a green. Waiter questioned whether we could handle the real food, but believed we wanted it and helped us navigate in English. Bitter soup is very bitter! Not to my liking, but glad I tried it. Raw laab was excellent with 1cm pieces of flat pounded beef. Extremely tender and flavorful, dusted with toasted rice powder. Corn salad was nicely cooked, still crunchy, with the largest dried shrimp I’ve seen. Greens were flavorful and perfectly cooked with smashed garlic cloves. Highly recommended for those looking for authentic Thai food off the Ao Nang...

Positive things: the seating area is clean or apparently clean (you never know how the kitchen is), it has a parking area, it has free drinking water, and the prices are ok too

Negative things: the main ones: food and service. We ordered 3 dishes. One had missing ingredients from the photo in the menu. We asked about it and they said they didn't have it. Other dish had totally different vegetables from the ones in the photo in the menu. And the 3rd dish was fine but the taste was not like the name of the dish in the menu.
