Me and my 5 friends passed through Ao Nang and stayed here for 4 nights... 4 nights well wasted! ||1) The Accommodation|We payed 2700 baht per night for 2 rooms (2 beds and 3 beds) and what we got for the price was laughable. Though it's not the worst rooms you'll ever see they nothing but overpriced.||-Overpriced|-Dirty|-Outdated|-not soundproof, at all! Can easily hear the neighbours|-beds sheets never got changed|-bad wifi, chrash easily |+ an OK balcony|+beds are quite comfortable||2) The location||The street isn't that quiet cuade of the amount of trafic just outside, and as mentioned earlier the rooms wasn't soundproofed. You have a couple of other hotels in the area which I can gladly recommended over this, and the restaurant next to the hotel had really kind staff and good simple thai food.||-no bars/clubs or "big" restaurants|-far from everything. Rent a motorbike (rent at mr Kord motorbike and pay the extra 80 baht per day for insurance on the bike, really worth it)|-nothing to see close to this area|+they have a family mart quite close||3) The staff||Last but truly not least: the staff...|Never encountered such a rude staff, more than 3 times i got stopped on my way out and got told that they our rooms were fully booked and had to change if we did not pay before a specific time. And they didn't have a atm anywhere close and didn't accept any sort of card payment (at least what they said). Had to talk ourselves out of that situation many times. Like many other hotels they can provide tours and plan you trips and so on, thiugh a little bit more expensive. We booked our trip to koh lipe on the hotel on the other side of the street, 3 bees resort, alot better and a little bit cheaper. They got really pissed when we said that we didn't want to book a trip with them and instead went to the hotel across the street. Wasn't nearly as good at english as you can expect from a hotel, though the "main" lady you'll encounter there is OK at it, though she is the rudest of the lot...||- rude|- lack "selling" sense and doesn't treat customers nearly as good as any other place in thailand|- not helpfull|- not good at English |- the fine for loosing key was 3x times the price for us than what it supposed to be|+provided good and cheap laundry service |||4) summary||Take my advice and dont come here, if you need to stay in this area, stay at the 3 bees resort across the streat! The owner Mr Luca (Italian) was an amazing host, had 2 friends staying there so he let us spend time there with them and he really wanted to help us with rooms but he was fully booked at the time. Mr Luca helped us with everything from restaurants, trips, tips and even let me use his cellphone...
Read moreOn a tour for the past month, we finally arrive in Krabi ao nang.||The room that we paid for had already been booked out. After mentioning the mistake on arrival, I had to insist and raise my voice to eventually obtain what we paid for two nights later.||During our stay all linens had stains (oil, juice, piss and blood), when they swapped our room, they even had left the previous persons linen on (i could clearly smell this person's perfume on the pillows and in the bedding). Again i had to ask them to give me new linen and i was told it would only happened the next day. Again i had to insist offering to make my own bed and they gave me a sheet. Again i had to insist and they gave me pillow cases (that they went to fetch from another room). No duvet cover for that night. |Showers : the temperature fluctuates and i hope you don't mind finding hair lying around. ||When we booked the room we were told that the beach was 15minutes walk. Lies. The beach is 30minutes walk, a issue as my partners foot was injured. But no worries, they offered us to hire a scooter, scooter that she gets from across the road not forgetting to add a cut on top of the usual rental. Unfortunately we knew the rental prices of the scooters already. ||When we booked, we were told that they will also be free shuttles. Those only leave twice a day and most clients have been scammed and charge for them a extreme amount of money.||There is a sweet little breakfast in the morning, the staff is really accommodating when you ask for it.||Overall, not a single person encountered in the hotel was pleased by their stay, expecting much much more for the price they pay.||If we were not on a booking we would have left, but we manage to obtain one clean bed in the correct room eventually (one night out of four). ||There are cheaper and better options, don't waste your holidays...
