Marco’s Restaurant is the Amari Vogue destination for lunch or dinner. The eatery is located smack on the beach and you have front row seats, to the great vistas of amazing beach, magnificent distant limestone rock structures and the soothing salt breeze. The ala carte menu centers around multiple cuisines. Of course there is Thai. You wil also find Western, Italian, Indian and Chinese options. What amazed me was that I saw numerous tables ordering Pizza, Burgers and Pastas. Really? Yes, I am not kidding. You are in Thailand, why not enjoy this amazing food. And that is what I did. I ate here everyday for my main meal (a late lunch early dinner combination).
I specifically ordered only from the Krabi selections. The Sen Mhee Keang Phuu (southern crab meat in coconut curry and ingredients), Keang Som Pla Ka Bokk Pla Ka Pong (southern sour curry with sea bass and ingredients) and the Bai Liang Tom Ka-Ti Goong Sod (Liang Leaf with coconut milk, prawns and ingredients). All these dishes were mind blowing in flavor, textures, freshness and tastes. What disappointed me here was the scanty service. The majority of staff were clueless about the menu. They could not answer questions. Only exception was Sunny. Then, I also had to encounter rude staff, that were not accommodating to my requests (smaller spoons, more napkins, extra plates and the...

“Local” cocktails are a disappointment. Food is not very good. Tom yum came cold and not spicy (i asked for spicy, but who am i, eh?), duck was dry.
Service is very slow and inattentive, only one person on staff seems to speak English.
If you plan to stay in Amari Vogue, take note of this, you won’t have a lot of options apart from this restaurant.
Update: Went there for a second time, again due to limited choices in Amari Vogue hotel. This time tried western dishes: other reviews seemed to be very sympathetic towards that part of the menu. The burger was okay at best. Kinda dry, not a lot of sauce or flavor. Pizza was not too bad either.
Overall, for any of the dishes we tried there, I just can't bring myself to say that they were good. They were nothing more than okay.
The view is really good, but that goes for any restaurant on that coast. Live music was...
Read moreWe came to eat together, and we had a small dog with us, which was in a special dog carrier. The staff immediately started kicking us out, even though we had already placed an order. In the end, one of us ate the order at the restaurant, and I was only allowed to take my food to go. We agreed to that, took the food, and went to the beach next to the restaurant.
After that, we were told that we couldn’t stay on the beach. The beach is a public place! No one can forbid us from being on the beach, especially not a restaurant. They have no right to do that. Nevertheless, this went on for a long time, with different managers constantly approaching us, repeating the same thing: “You’re not allowed to be here" Absolutely not dog-friendly. We were kicked out, including from the beach, because of the dog as well. I do not recommend this...
