My wife & I went to the Irish embassy pub to watch a preliminary final for our AFL team. I contacted them 1 month before to make sure they played AFL football via Facebook & within minutes they confirmed.

When the time came I asked the staff if they could put the game on. They put the game on but kept the music on for the rest of the patrons. I asked if they could put subtitles on the screen I was watching. The owner was there & as it was just my wife & I at that time he put the sound on for our game over the speakers & left the sound on for the entire game even when the pub got busier! He even came over for a chat at half time which was good of him!

We ordered some food throughout the game (wedges, spaghetti bolognese & a burger). Food was really good & service was quick. Happy hour had cheap cocktails & pints of san miguel for 90 baht. It also went for 3 hours!

All in all we had a great experience at Irish embassy pub. It even started to get quite busy later at night despite being low season. Would love to see the atmosphere in...

We booked in for Xmas day lunch. The Xmas roast itself was nice and tasty, however the veg was really undercooked and we found it quite expensive for what it was (990 baht including mince pie for dessert, but being three times the price of the roast on standard menu). For this price we expected the pub to look and feel more xmassy with table decorations, xmas crackers etc.

They were able to accommodate vegan which was one of the main reasons we chose here. Photo of vegan roast dinner for reference. Good selection of drinks at reasonable prices and the owner was really approachable...

Grand for a pint. But I got a fry this morning and it started with a dirty straw, then I had a load of hair in my beans but it was still no problem though. Then I found a fly fried into my rasher that appeared to be already cooked before he re fried it, and the sausage or pudding wasn't cooked in the middle at all. I'm ashamed that it's a Irish bar, and I'm a irishman. It was so bad they straight away not to pay, which isn't very Thailand but it was nice of them. Absolutely disgracefull kitchen, you'd be better off eating...

We came to Irish Embassy on a Sunday and went for the Sunday Roast. It is an incredibly big portion and the taste is delicious. There is a pool table and dart board available, however the dart board and darts were in a bad condition and only 3 available so not really playable. The little bit older lady who served us was not friendly at all and we did not feel welcome. When we asked for the price of the roast, she literally pointed to the blackboard outside and we had to stand up and walk there to go see the prices.

The only Irish Bar on Lanta. Quality beers and food. If you fancy a Sunday roast you could get it here! They show most live sports (even the rugby and the winter Olympics! ) a packed bar at night (like most Irish bars around the world!). Friendly staff and situated on the main road on Long beach. Easy to get to from any residence on Pra Aye. Darren runs this place and is a great bloke. Nothing to complain about here - western standards. (Pic of sunset by the beach 200 meters away)
