Arrived in Bangkok for the first time only to find that the rental car we booked can only be picked up at the other airport. Took a 1 hour Uber ride to the car rental company's headquarter on Google Map only to find that it’s no longer in use (should have asked earlier, stupid me). It was raining and getting late, and we were standing in front of this little cafe with our luggage. Clearly not an ideal start for a holiday until this place saved our day. The staff asked us to sit down if we want to, saying we don’t have to order anything. We ordered some French fries anyway, and they turned out to be world class. Then they helped us get a cab back to the airport terminal, the girl even held an umbrella for me in the rain. I still feel bad for not being able to say how thankful I was in Thai.
