This place is a friendly, comfortable, gem! I can only describe it as a very "Cheers"-like atmosphere. An extremely friendly, convivial, place! Run by two Aussie blokes, Sean & Andy, I dropped in, because it was "literally" directly across the street... and boy am I glad I did! It was a Sunday afternoon, and there was a table with 5 or 6 people at it, who all very obviously knew one another. In short order, one of them asked me how my meal was, and considering it was hugely proportioned AND delicious, I told him so. So, as I'm trying to actually get through the whole meal, these characters begin a running conversation with me across two tables, and it was all just friendly as could be. As soon as I was done, Sean, the proprietor, said come on over and sit with us, which I did. I ended up getting a fabulously good meal and spent another 6-hours with these folks after my dinner. The food is great, the atmosphere is extremely comfortable, the staff is friendly, very professional, welcoming. There are drinks if you want them, a pool table, several TV's, and there's usually an Australian rugby game on. I've been back for quite a number of meals now, but in addition to the food, it's the friendliness that will keep you coming back!!! I can't recommend The Colonial Bar & Grill highly enough. Go get some lunch or dinner (Oh, I just renembered: They started serving breakfast, just this last week, too! When you stop in, tell them that Big Micheal from...

Tucked away in Na Kluea, just a short walk from Wong Amat Beach, Colonial Bar & Grill is the kind of place you stumble into once and immediately make your regular. Cozy garden seating outside, a pub-style indoor bar with pool table inside, and zero tourist-trap nonsense.
The menu nails both British comfort food and proper Thai classics. I had the Som Tum Thai (fresh, zingy, perfectly balanced), Fish & Chips (golden, crispy, and the chips were hand-cut beauties), and a grilled pork chop that set the benchmark for the rest of the menu.
They offer killer lunch specials (195฿), real coffee with free Wi-Fi, and an upcoming live music schedule. It’s popular with expats for a reason: chilled vibe, great food, fair prices.
Perfect for post-beach meals, casual dates, or remote working over a cappuccino. Easily one of the best-kept secrets in...

I have had severe milk allergy all my life but this is the first time a restaurant wants to ask for payment from food that I had to return because of an allergic reaction.
Also the fresh orange juice that I ordered didnt seem too fresh to me and I have suspicion I got allergic reaction from that too.
It seems in this restaurant they dont know about food allergies or how to handle customers who have to return something they ordered. All in all, the way they have handled this was very poor and I wont be coming back to this...
