Fuji Restaurant — Restaurant in Pattaya City

The food was ok...(between a 3 and 4).....the lower rating is due to the attitude and demeanor of many employees. This can be chalked up to "manager on holiday, no manager here today". All I wanted to do is ask why, in the most expensive restaurant in the Big C shopping center, they didn't have wifi, when much lesser venues did (like Swensen's Ice Cream and many of the coffee venues). This became major stuff.....the woman they eventually brought over was angry before she even understood what the complaint was. The waitresses all looked angry and started with the Thai looks of dissatisfaction, taking the employees side, even though there was no "side" in this discussion. There was one heavy set male kid who was apologetic and understanding. Maybe he should be the manager.. ..he had real people skills, although I saw him cleaning up a table. Shame on Fuji Restaurants to leave a customer with this crew in charge. It was embarrassing and...

This FUJI restaurant is at ground level of Big C Extra Pattaya Klang Road directly next to the main entrance. Fuji is currently operating 110 branches of their Japanese restaurants all over Thailand, 2 in Lao and already 5 in Myanmar. Fuji Group is not just a successful restaurant operator it also has subsidiaries such as Fuji food and beverage manufacturers, IT management companies, interior decorators, as well as advertising and marketing planning companies.

The interior of the restaurant is modern and clean but nothing one would see in Japan itself. Some items on the menu are still very nice whereas others miss the special Japanese characteristics in taste.

Said never again but I don't know why but I came back for more punishment.

My beef rice bowl came hot and quickly but after waiting for 20 further minutes for my wife's salmon, I ate mine cold.

Sad.

Back to reduced kitchen staff again. Waiting 30 minutes already for some eel.

Never again.

Returned today and pleased to say service is back to normal. Quick, hot, delicious. Well done.

Despite waiting 40 minutes for a simple beef and rice bowl, it came lukewarm. If management cannot see that they do not have enough staff to cope with busy periods then they should shut up shop....
