The restaurant is conveniently located, not too far from the main road, making it easily accessible. Upon entering, you’ll notice that the atmosphere is casual and welcoming, which is perfect for a relaxed meal. In terms of the food, the quality is impressive for the price range. For example, the crab fried rice is prepared with fresh ingredients, offering a pleasant taste. The portion size is generous, and the rice is fluffy with just the right amount of seasoning. However, the dish may be slightly bland for some tastes, so adding a bit of chili or sauce can enhance the flavor to your liking. Despite this, the balance of flavors and the amount of crab in the dish are commendable, providing a satisfying meal.
One of the standout dishes is the stir-fried crab with basil (Pad Krapow Poo), which is not only flavorful but also made with fresh crab meat that gives the dish a rich texture. It’s definitely worth a try if you’re a fan of Thai basil dishes or if you’re looking to explore something new on the menu. The portion sizes here are well thought out, offering enough to leave you feeling full but not overwhelmed, and the prices reflect good value for the quality of ingredients used.
The service is another aspect that shines at this restaurant. Even during peak hours when the place is bustling with customers, the staff manages to serve the food quickly and efficiently. There is minimal waiting time, and the system they have in place seems well-organized. The staff are also friendly and approachable, always ready to answer any questions or provide recommendations. Their attentiveness adds to the overall dining experience, making you feel well taken care of throughout your meal.
The restaurant also offers parking, which is a plus, especially in busy areas. There’s plenty of space to accommodate a good number of vehicles. However, the parking area itself could use some improvement. The ground is quite uneven, with many potholes, making it a bit tricky to navigate. This could be a minor inconvenience for those driving, but it’s something to keep in mind.
One of the few drawbacks of the restaurant is the way drinks are handled. Unlike most places where drinks are included in the main menu, here they are sold separately from the dining area. The prices for beverages are somewhat high compared to what you would typically expect. For instance, a glass of water with ice costs almost 20 baht, which is noticeably more expensive than the market average. This could be a slight downside for customers looking for more reasonable pricing on drinks, but it doesn’t detract too much from the overall experience.
In summary, while there are a few minor areas for improvement, particularly with the drinks and parking, the restaurant offers a pleasant dining experience with quick service, friendly staff, and tasty, well-prepared dishes. It’s a great spot to enjoy a casual meal, especially if you’re in the mood for Thai favorites like crab fried rice or stir-fried...

Kaew Kaphrao Pu is perhaps one of the best Kaprao Poo (stir fried crab with sweet basil leaves) restaurants in Thailand. After being more famous, they moved from the original place in North Pattaya area which is too small for many eaters to this new location on the other side of the main Sukhumvit Road. With this new place they construct to very large which I guess from my rough view it can accommodate up to 100 guests. It is open air restaurant and certainly the most famous menu is Kaprao poo which you can choose as a one-dish rice or as a food to eat with separate steamed rice. Be careful if you are not a very spicy eater please instruct to them that you prefer 'light' or 'medium' spicy when you place an order. Kaew Kaphrao Pu is always crowded especially between 11:00-13:00 so I would suggest you to get to this restaurant earlier like 10:30 to avoid a long queuing line. Price is not cheap but also not too high. Parking is available in front of the restaurant for about 20-30 cars but the problem is the ground which is very very rough. They open 6 days a week and close on...

We had a great experience at this restaurant! The food and service were both excellent. We tried a variety of seafood dishes, all served fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The taste was truly satisfying, especially for those who appreciate authentic, well-prepared meals.
One thing to note: drinks are billed separately from the food, and they provide ice free of charge. The parking space is spacious and convenient, which adds to the comfort of visiting.
The ambiance is calm and pleasant, and the staff is very polite and attentive. It’s a worthy spot for food lovers, especially those who enjoy exploring local cuisine.
Indian visitors might find the food a bit less spicy or even non-spicy, but personally, I really enjoyed the flavor and quality of the dishes. The pricing is reasonable, and the location is very close to the Sanctuary of Truth, making it an ideal stop during your visit to the area.
Highly recommended for a peaceful, tasty, and satisfying...
