This place is trying to imitate a french cafe. In some ways they do actually succeed. The taste isn't bad at all. What we had tasted quite well - two breakfast sets, they each came with a danish pastry piece, some nicely fried bacon and sausages, asparagus, potatoes, mushrooms and tomatoes. The prices were pretty much European standard, maybe a little lower. They serve great variations of coffee. The prices are quite dusty - around 150baht each, plus an additional 50baht for soy/almond milk. But - as i said - tastes good.
Here's what I didn't like.
I had better french pastry in Thailand for way less. The service seemed arrogant, cold, overwhelmed at the same time. They forgot half the orders we made. Or brought them late. When i asked for almond milk they said: yes, have. But that's extra 50 baht. And they made it sound like i would change my mind if i heard that. Which i found quite condescending :-D
So to sum it all up, it was one of the lesser experiences i had with french bakeries in Thailand. The quality of the food isn't bad at all. But the atmosphere is more snobby, arroganta and distanced. But if you know good Parisian bakeries, they just act out of place here. They don't fit the criteria for a top level pastry store or cafe at all. But they act like they invented it.
They prices are too high for the quality they serve. And especially for Thailand the prices are way beyond reasonable. So. It's not the worst. It's okay. Prices are salty. Service is pity. Vibe is not my kind. Looks like an American golf club :-D

Read moreFirst I have to mention that I was not in La Baguette as a tourist. I live in a walking distance of the restaurant for a month now. I was a regular customer of La Baguette already before in those 10 years I live in the city. Since I am in the neighbourhood now I thought i'll go and visit the restaurant frequently based on the fact that the croissants, the cakes, the crèpes.... the whole food in genral is delicious and good quality. But there is the thing that some people of the service crew have their moods. Today we were served by a lady who believed she had to show us that we were not worthy for her. She was in a bad mood from the very beginning and placed the food on the table carelessly. We ordered everything at once but the ordered items came one by one over a tiime of 30 minutes. But still we were waiting for this ONE THING I came for. I ordered the Mango Crèpe because I love this thing so much. After 40 minutes waiting I decided to cancel the order. The bad tempered waitress insisted it will be ready in 1 minute. But all this time we were waiting there came not one word of excuse for the long waiting time. I insisted on cancellation. The bill came from another waitress. On my wife's claim about the poor service to her in Thai this waitress felt sorry mentioning that there came many customers the same time. Sorry but this is a poor apology facing the fact that there were 2 tables with 2 couples coming after us and both had their food while I was still waiting...

INTERESTING DETAILS ;) • The Breakfast Set was meant to be served in a hot frying pan 🍳 so that it does not cool down quickly and you can enjoy it slowly, therefore protection against burns is ensured by a cover on the handle of the pan. However, probably due to excessive concern for customers, breakfast is served on a cold pan so that the customer does not burn himself. As a result, breakfast cools down instantly, and you can enjoy it without fear of burning your mouth.
• Toasted bread is not toasted and therefore not edible. This is a big plus, you do not get fat!
I RECOMMEND TO TRY! • Croissant Croque Madame • Crepe Poulette • Scent of the forest tea
PROS :) • This restaurant has some of the best European cuisine in Pattaya • Varied menu and incredibly delicious desserts! • Very clean restaurant • Polite staff
MINUSES :( • It is very cold inside the restaurant, the air conditioning is running at full capacity. • It is very noisy outside from the busy road located right next to it. • Sometimes it takes a long time to wait for the ordered dish. • If there are two of you, the dishes are often not brought at the same time, sometimes with a difference...
