Mimosa Pizzeria — Restaurant in Pattaya City

A clean and quaint Italian pizzeria/restaurant located just across the street from the beach. I had the bolognese pizza with red wine, and both tasted OK.

They have a small outdoor covered seating area with vintage desk fans attached to the ceiling and a larger indoor seating area under aircon, but the aircon is set to 28 Celsius which isn't very helpful when trying to cool an entire restaurant so it feels warm inside.

The restaurant and bathrooms are both clean and tidy, and the owner walks around and talks to customers, which I like. The prices are fair and the service is decent.

Credit cards, including Visa, are NOT accepted here, so you are stuck paying cash if you aren't a local with a Thai bank account (they can pay digitally by QR code).

Overall, it's an average place offering a clean and quaint setting, so I'm still searching for an ideal Italian restaurant near Jomtien with great food that also accepts credit cards. The search...

In my 68 years I have never been treated so badly in a restaurant as I was at Mimosa in Jomtien Beach. Accused of lying when I stated that my friend paid his restaurant bill with a 1000 baht note. His bill was 480 baht and his change was supposed to be 520 baht. When he asked for his change, the owner said he paid 520 baht. His change had probably been put in the restaurant bill case and taken as his payment instead of the change he was supposed to receive back as he paid 1000 bath. Later the same evening I tried to call the restaurant to explain what I think was the mistake by the restaurant. The call was disconnected when I explained who I was. My experience at this restaurant was terrible, and to make matters worse, I had my small child with me. The fact that they don't accept card payments is already inconvenient enough, but the owner's behavior was completely unacceptable. When we tried to order a few things with cash, he was extremely rude and dismissive towards us, and even went so far as to ask us to leave. It's really disappointing to see such a lack of customer service and empathy from a restaurant that should be striving to create a welcoming environment for all its customers.
