Take away dinner from Momento Beach Jomtiem

First visit here, was very impressed with the venue as I thought it was going to be a small restaurant and it turned out to be really beautiful big resort with a fantastic seating area around a great swimming pool. Will definitely be eating in next time.

So, on to the food. We tried 5 dishes, 4 of them from the covid busting specials menu, starting at just 50thb a dish:

Grilled Fish: Herby and moist, came with Thai rice which was perfect and almost like sushi rice and a salad garnish, very nice, at an incredible 50thb

Grilled Beef Steak: I'm guessing Thai beef, was cooked exactly medium as requested and was really tasty, came with fries and salad garnish, excellent value at 99thb

Grilled Chicken Breast: Similar to the fish, herby and moist and came with some nice herby sauteed potatoes and salad garnish, again incredible value at 50thb

Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken: Good size portion, not a classical version but certainly a very tasty one that I'd order again, also excellent value at 99thb

Grilled Thai Beef: Marinated grilled beef with a spicy dipping sauce, sorry no idea how to spell it in Thai, I'm told that it's called Nuea Yang, which I guess is Thai BBQ Beef, very good size portion, again very tasty and a great spicy sauce, from the full restaurant at 190thb

To sum up, we had a great take away meal from Momento Beach this evening and enjoyed every dish. We were served promptly and professionally and will absolutely be eating here more often.

Very disappointed with the stone faced rude waitresses. I felt very unwelcomed and frankly I was annoyed and upset by them and there poor service. The food is ok but nothing special, it's underseasoned, over priced, basic and comes suspiciously fast. The sausages I had on one occasion were cold in the middle and still very pink and when I asked for a glass of tap water after I was told I could not bring a bottle of water down from my room, one very rude waitress procceded to yell at me and argue that I had to buy something to drink and they would not give us anything for free, even water. Then another time we asked to take away some left over steak and chips that my husband had and they threw it away, claming to have not understood, even though this is someting we had done every night as the portions are too big for one sitting. They then procedded to shrug there shoulders and stay silent offering no apology what so ever or any monitary or food compensation. And then to top it off I was given the dirtiest of looks from all the waitresses for saying it was outrageous as we walked away. I have never experienced this level of rudeness or incompetent at an eating establishment and I accept that maybe the waitress did not understand our extremley clear instructions but the awfully rude reaction once they realised their mistake is what really upset me. I will not be dining there any more and frankly I wouldn't advise anyone to waste there money dining...

The staff not all of the them, only the two staffs that were tending us, does not know the meaning of customer service, even the management does not seem to care, about the customer's genuine issue. There was a misunderstanding among the two staffs and one of them decided to take the frustration out on us guests, which is really unexpected and when reported to the management, who barely understands anything spoken to them in English, all they could reply back to us is" are you eating or leaving." Did not even have the basic courtesy to apologise. I never expected this kind of treatment and behaviour even from the management. I understand that not everyone understands English, But atleast when somebody is addressing an issue. They should atleast pay a bit of attention to the guest. I would never recommend anyone with an ounce of self respect to dine over here. I understand that the waitresses are thai and they do not understand English, but the management's behaviour is utterly poor. Even after addressing them the issue in a sophisticated manner, all they could respond back was are you eating or leaving. Not even an ounce of regret/respect or a atleast a friendly apology addressing the matter would have been a bit better, Than this kind of treatment, I really hope nobody else gets treated in...
