Sunshine Cafe — Restaurant in Pattaya City

We went here based on previous reviews that mentioned good pizza. I love pizza, but I'm not sure that what they serve at Sunshine Cafe is really pizza. I love all kinds of pizza; thin crust, thick crust, pan pizza, crunchy pizza, floppy NY-style pizza. I'm not sure what to call the pizza I got at Sunshine.

It was floppy AND thin. So thin and so floppy that it was impossible to pick it up with my hands. Not quite paper-thin, but far thinner than any I've encountered before. Usually, thin means crispy-crunchy brick oven-style. Not this one. I would say that this crust was more uncooked or undercooked dough than crust.

It didn't taste bad, although the sauce was much too sweet for my taste, but it didn't really register as pizza, either. I didn't hate it. I ate the whole thing, but I'm still not sure it's pizza. I think you need a recognizably bread-like crust to earn the name pizza, and this dish...

I had a lunch here, and I regret walking in. The staff were not welcoming at all. "I" had to ask them to bring the entire menu. Put aside quality and price of the meal I had, I asked them for water, and as you see, I got this bottle of water and they charged me for 45 Baht !! They didn't offer me any menu to choose a drink :)) and they overcharged me for this. and when I told the staff I am not satisfied with the service at all, they brought me the change in 1 Baht coins to completely show you guys how they disrespect a customer. Do not make the same mistake as me. 45 Baht is nothing really for a tourist, but the disrespect part costs a lot to anyone.

We have been eating here for 3 years before Covid. Today is the first time back in a while, and the Last Time ever. Never had sour pizza before today! Not to mention wait staff did not understand my order of Salami pizza. So after an hour we noticed a table 45 minutes behind us got a pizza. Then we asked and no order was put in. And finally got a sour pizza. Hope I don't get sick tonight from possibly of bad food. Sorry to say this after this long time favorite of ours.
