so this place is a notch above a standard cheap charlie refuge. Very clean and neat inside, some outdoor seating is available to people watch the busy streets. Pro Charlie tip i got was that they had nice stools to sit on. apparently this is also often a heated debate amongst charlies-in-da-wild. since a pro charlie can nurse a bottle of beer for multiple hours, a comfy seat is a must. indeed the high benches were super comfy, i can retire in one of these. I opted for the daily special and was not disappointed. i thought even the presentation was neat; mashed potatoes holding up two sacrificial bangers while knee deep in gravy. the onion gravy was surprisingly good. the bangers were satisfying. overall a great big meal, ridiculously large portion for 230 baht. big thumbs up. i will be back to investigate the rest of the menu while ordering a side of that gravy and just drinking it. was a bit disappointing at the lack of charlie sightings, younger English...

I spent a weekend in Pattaya at the beginning of July, and stayed at the Nest Sports Bar & Restaurant. I have to say that I’m quite particular when it comes to my accommodation, and the room certainly met my expectations - clean, spacious, comfortable, good aircon, nice bathroom, and with a balcony. A very reasonable daily rate too. The restaurant has a wide selection of good-quality Western and Thai food, again reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and efficient and speak fairly proficient English, and the manager is on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly. There are also a number of TVs showing a diverse range of sports events. All in all, a nice atmosphere to eat, drink, watch a game, or just relax with the people you’re with. Excellent stuff! Tried to order Sunday Roast last week via Grab. Restaurant called and said they only had lamb left as I had ordered beef/pork. I said no problem send me lamb. 5 minutes later Grab messages me the order was cancelled. I FB messaged the restaurant, "why call me and ask to change my order and then cancel?". The owner replied and said my order was sitting ready for delivery and the driver just walked out. He apologized and offered to personally deliver my order "this" week. True to his word, "Mark" left his restaurant, drove to Pratumnak and hand delivered my order with another apology and a handshake.
