9.8/10 This is part of the Phan Nga bay tour. The first thing to remember is it's a floating restaurant on a floating island in the middle of the sea. That's like being served warm food in mid air on a plane. While you have to pay hundreds of dollars for minimal air food, you get a variety of dishes here for a fraction of the price! Plus halal. HALAL people. Everything was clean and what especially enjoyed was how they shared their blend of local and international cuisine in a fusion. I'm sure these people have customized so many dishes to our tastes! If you are coming with a tour, try to spend as little time as possible on eating and have a chance to tour the magnificent and charming Panyee island, more on that in...
Read moreBuffet is expencive at 500 baht pp, and didn't look good, so we ordered 2 dishes instead, one being a pad thai (the most typical thai dish), with prawns. We got 4 prawns. And the rest of it wasnt any good (we love thai food and the other pad thais we've had) so we didnt eat, and didnt have to pay, so thats fair. Cool place and friendly staff but few of them speak english haha. This is the only place in the village (/ on the island) I could hang out and/or eat though, so they're doing something right. Got wifi. And the other dish was good. Closes at 4pm lol. Very expencive but fair enough since its all the way out jere and the only decent place on the island/village. If you're reading this, stay away from this...

What I am certain of is that the food here made me violently ill. I've been out of action for three days now, that time mostly spent in the toilet.
Additionally, I'm totally not keen that the floating village and jetty is held up on styrofoam plastics which is leeching into the ocean! At Palm beach another stop off, there was styrofoam all over the beach.
Do better or...
