Having visited Thailand eight times, my dining experience at Takiang Restaurant in Khao Lak stands out as a highlight. Takiang offers an authentic Thai culinary journey that's perfect for both first-time visitors and seasoned travelers. The food, characterized by its quality and authenticity, promises a delightful exploration of Thai flavors. The staff's warmth and attentiveness add to the welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a memorable meal.
Set away from the main road, Takiang's ambiance and decor transport you away from the usual tourist paths, offering a serene dining experience. Whether it's your first night in Thailand or your last, a meal here is a must. With fantastic recommendations for every palate, Takiang guarantees an exceptional dining experience that my family and I thoroughly enjoyed. I agree with other reviews it's definitely stands away from the other tourist trap...
Read moreWow. This place was incredible!
Probably my favorite restaurant in Thailand so far.
We got two orders of pad Thai, one with shrimp and one with chicken and they were AMAZING.
So much flavor and so delicious. I was so sad when I took my last bite.
We also got an order of lemon chicken and an order of fried shrimp with cashews that were also really good.
We had a coconut shake that was really tasty too.
The staff was so attentive and kind - more so than any other restaurant. Multiple people coming to check on us, but never in an annoying or overbearing way. Always subtly and politely making sure we had everything we needed.
It was also a great atmosphere. Peaceful music in the background, and decor that really fit the vibe of the restaurant.
We will definitely be back if we can...
Read moreI don't get how this place is rated so highly. Something isn't right, honestly. We were here a couple of nights ago when it was pouring with rain and you couldn't hear anything due to the metal roof. Okay, not their fault. But the appetisers we ordered were dripping in oil. Mushrooms, onion rings, spring rolls and prawns were tastless and greasy. The mains weren't all that either. Not alot of taste in the rice or the curries we had. I had the fried rice with pork and it came with egg fried rice and side of deep fried pork which had no seasoning or flavour. Really really odd. We left our food which we haven't done in other places. The venue is really nice but I came for the food, not the furniture. Wide berth i would say as there are so many better places not tucked down...
