Given the large percentage of European visitors here, it's easy to feel like you're in Mallorca with multilingual photo menus. Sadly the food has also been adjusted to European tastes, so it's quite bland for Thai food . For example, the Som Tam (Papaya Salad) could benefit from more lime, more sugar, more chili, and more mashing. The curry was OK, but also a bit lacking in depth.
The location by the beach next to the JW Marriott is great and service is friendly but sometimes a little confused. Prices are around 100 THB per basic dish, which is easily a third of the JW, but still almost double compared to local restaurants. Budget about 500 THB for two persons.
