Update 08/05/25 - My previous review below still stands. This arabica location still makes a nice strong flat white, but I’m removing a star from all cafes that serve dirty lattes or any drink with added sweetness by default. This was especially disappointing and unexpected at a place like Arabica, which portrays itself as a coffee drinker’s shop. ALL drinks shop come with no added sweetness as a default. At the very least the baristas should ask if a customer would like their drink sweet or not. The dirty latte I got here was undrinkable due to the sweetness. This is unacceptable at the higher price point Arabica charges.

Also had some poorly pulled shots on my last visit. Probably a lot of channeling in the puck. Tasted of over and under extraction.

If you’re not a coffee nerd you can skip this review - I have been critical of Arabica coffee in the past at the original Ari location due to what tasted like under and over extraction likely due to poor puck preparation. However on a recent visit to their 2nd location on Ari 1 I was very impressed with the barista’s puck prep.

She took care to distribute and level the grinds before tamping with proper pressure. It wasn’t as elaborate as some 3rd wave cafes in the US or EU, but it was much more care than I typically see in Thailand. The care taken resulted in a great tasting latte.

I was also glad to see that they weren’t offering 7 different SO or blends without adjusting other extraction parameters like so many cafes in Bkk seem to be doing these days.

Highly recommend this café! The staff is extremely kind and friendly. Working there is amazing and i had a great time staying focused. Slow jazz is playing in the background and the prices for coffee that quality is amazing! As a coffee lover, they make their coffee with love. The matcha is also very tasty. They provide free water, the toilets are clean and all in all the location is good. I will come back again!
