I recently had the pleasure of dining at Thanee Khao Daeng Roasted & BBQ Pork Rice, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience. Despite only selling roasted and BBQ pork over rice or noodles, this restaurant manages to elevate this seemingly simple dish to new heights of deliciousness.
The pork was perfectly cooked, with just the right amount of smokiness and tenderness, and the noodles were springy. The sauces and condiments offered were also excellent, providing the perfect complement to the rich and savory pork.
Eating at Thanee Khao Daeng Roasted & BBQ Pork Rice was like discovering a hidden gem - a reminder that sometimes the simplest things in life can be the most satisfying. Sometimes we don't need all the bells and whistles to find happiness, and that the most important things in life can be found in the most unexpected places.
I was going through a difficult time at work, feeling burnt out and unmotivated. Had Noodle with Fish Ball, Marinated Pork Chop and Shrimp Ball, Char Siew (Roasted Pork) Rice.
The noodles was covered in a thick layer of coriander/parsely/green onions, so those who are averse to this, beware. After digging through the top layer of pungent vege, I came to the bed of noodles with minced pork bathed in light sauce. The highlight is the fish ball and shrimp balls, which were very rich in taste. Could taste that it was made up of mainly fish instead of flour.
For the Char Siew Rice, it was drenched in sweet red sauce and paired with an onsen egg. The highlight's the char siew, which was roasted to perfection, but yet retained its soft texture.
It's a good experience to taste simple road side food in Bangkok, in a setting that was a throwback to the...
Read moreI would rate this place 4.5/5. See the video that i posted. Its the standard dumpling noodle soup with roast pork and char siew. The roast pork is super crispy and the noodle was so springy and Q. The wanton and char siew was average. You can order soup or dry but I would recommend soup because the soup, woooooooo, is superb. This place is near BTS. I went at around 10-11am on a weekday, i am the only person there. Forget about the soi19 wanton mee, you can try this here, its better. They also serve pork platter which cost around 200b if my memory never fail me. Definitely worth a try since its near Ari BTS, just 5mins walk from it.
Oh there is one thing to note thou, when you enter the shop, theres a drainage stench. You might want to take note on that, otherwise the...
