Raya Restaurant & Wine Bistro is an elegantly beautiful establishment, set in a luxurious resort with lush gardens, featuring a traditional Thai wooden architectural style. We arrived at night, having called ahead to confirm the kitchen was still open. I ordered the Baked Salmon at 550 Baht++. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The first piece of salmon had a noticeable off-flavor, suggesting it wasn't as fresh as it should be (despite likely being a frozen product). The staff were excellent, immediately taking it back to the kitchen to prepare a new piece. The second piece was edible, but the plating and side dishes were very underwhelming for this price point—there was almost nothing accompanying the fish. Furthermore, the sauce served beneath the salmon was not appealing. The redeeming qualities were definitely the inviting ambiance and the excellent service from the staff. This experience led me to believe that the main, skilled chefs might have either already gone home or were not working during the time...

We came to eat here based on the menu on Google Maps, which was clear when we entered that it was either a very old menu, or a new owner.

The menu of this restaurant is terribly expensive, especially seeing the quality of food that you get. When we told the waiter that there were lots of remainders of egg shells in the food, the waiter did not even apologize or offer any compensation. Terribly overpriced, and...

ไปนอนพักชะอำครั้งแรก ปรกติที่ผมไปเที่ยวถ้ารู้ว่าไม่มีร้านอาหารอร่อยผมจะไม่ขอไปเหยียบ เพราะหากไปเที่ยวแล้วไม่ได้กินของอร่อยเหมือนงานกร่อยไปเลย หาข้อมูลในกูเกิลอยู่2วันว่าตรงไหนมีอาหารอร่อย มาเจอร้านนี้ที่รีวิวไม่มาก แต่คะแนนสูง น่าสนใจที่สุด เลยเข้าไปกินมื้อเที่ยง สลัดแซลมอน และข้าวผัดปูจานขนาดกลาง(ทาน3คน)และไอสครีม ปรากฏว่าไม่ผิดหวังทั้ง3เมนู ไม่น่าจะมีที่ไหนทำข้าวผัดปูได้กลมกล่อมว่าร้านนี้อีกแล้ว กินกับสลัดแซลมอนเข้ากันมาก ใครกินปลาดิบไม่ได้ให้ผ่านเมนูนี้ไป แต่ดูเหมือนปลาแซลมอนจะลมควัน ไม่ทานดิบก็น่าจะได้อยู่ ทาน3คนรวมราคา8-9ผมว่าราคาธรรมดาอยู่เพราะจานใหญ่ เทียบกับความอร่อยกับฝีมือกุ๊กระดับ5ดาว เมนูหลากหลาย มีคิดค่าบริการ10% ทานมือเที่ยงเสร็จผมมาต่อมือเย็นไม่ไปร้านไหนแล้ว ด้วยเมนูไข่เจียวปู ปูอบวุ่นเส้น และพิสซ่า รสชาติสุดยอดพอๆมื้อเที่ยง ปูนี่ทั้งสดทั้งใหญ่ทั้งแน่นทั้งตัว ไข่เจียวปูนี่พอจะบอกได้ว่าไม่น่าจะมีที่ไหนอร่อยกว่านี้แล้ว พิสซ่าก็กินดี มีเบียร์สิงค์ขายแต่ขวดเล็ก ขวดละ100 ผมสั่งทานเป็นกระสัย3ขวด รวมราคาเกือบ1600 ซึ่งยังรู้สึกว่าไม่แพง กับบรรยากาศพัตตาคารติดชายหาดแบบเต็มอิ่ม อาหารดี บรรยากาศและบริการดี ห้องน้ำสะอาดมาก กลางคืนทานนอกห้องแอร์จะมียุงนิดๆไม่ถึงกับรำคาญ แต่ที่ร้านมีบริการสมุนไพรฉีดไล่ยุงเลยไม่มีใครโดนยุงกัด จอดรถตรงข้ามร้านที่เป็นริมหาดได้เลย...
