We had almost given up on lunch after finding that our Tuk TuK driver Cha wouldn't understand what we meant by vegetarian ( he confused if with the word Italian). Visiting Wat Ratchaburana as we were getting off our Tuk Tuk we spotted a restaurant sign which said they served Thai vegetarian food. They have a two page menu of noodles, rice based dishes and deep fried vegetarian dishes that can keep vegetarians going. The owner a delightful man, helped us choose the dishes and also answered our queries smilingly. They also gave Vegetarian salads and desserts. They adjust the spiciness of the dishes according to customer's choice. Service is quick and the food good and filling. Prices are very reasonable. Free WiFi is provided to customers. Vegetarians looking for such food at Ayutthaya should head to Burinda as there are few options in the town for...
Read moreI'm confused about how this restaurant managed to get such a high rated score. My friends and I were hesitant to try this place out as we passed by the other night. However, the restaurant we initially wanted to go to was closed and we went to Malakor the night before (which had great food), we decided to give Burinda a try. First, the thai iced tea tasted like iced milk (barely any tea and wasnt sweet). My friend ordered the coconut chicken soup and it was so bland that she ended up not eating it at all. The pad Thai had no flavor (how can you mess up this staple?) and the rad na was just at bland. Also - kee Mao with mama noodles? What? The only saving grace was the mango sticky rice and the nice servers. I felt bad to give this review but I wanted to warn others before...
Read moreStaff were overbearing, and food was mediocre. Unfortunately disappointed by everything we ordered - pad see ew was bland, spring rolls were smushed, larb (ordered local-spicy) was so mild even I (who can't eat spicy at all) was able to eat it, morning glory was inexplicably spicy, and the Thai milk tea was watered down and from a powder. Staff was also quite overbearing, hovering uncomfortably when we were reading the menu. Overall, left scratching our heads over how this place has a 4.4 rating. Wasn't terrible, just deeply disappointing. The bamboo fish on the straw was a cute touch, though, and adding lime to the fish sauce and chili was a...
