Over the past few years, I have had breakfast at Morning Bread a couple of times.
Truthfully, I am not usually in the Soi 94 area that early in the morning. But after dropping off my daughter at school for a very early event, I was in the need of coffee and breakfast at around 7:30 AM.
Believe it or not, Morning Bread is one of the few places in the area that is open that early. I was firmly ensconced in a back wall booth and I observed countless expats filing in for coffee, breakfast or just to purchase bakery items to go.
I opted for the two eggs, two rashers of bacon, brown bread and roll with coffee and orange juice breakfast. I think it was 160 Baht and it was great value. I even remembered to snap a photo.
The atmosphere is cozy and the free Wi-Fi is fast.
The service staff are friendly and efficient. They all have very nice smiles.
I leisurely consumed my breakfast and watched the people come and go as well as "life's rich pageant" of foot traffic going up and down Soi 94 so early in the morning.
At this time of day, I had no problem finding a parking spot, but later in the day, it might be difficult.

Read moreStopped by for breakfast because the reviews looked good. The menu and presentation seemed promising, but the taste didn’t live up to expectations. I ordered the Egg Benedict (249 THB) — unfortunately, the flavor was disappointing. The sauce tasted more like mayonnaise than hollandaise. The sausage was decent, but the ham and bacon were very basic, and the vegetables didn't taste good.
The coffee wasn’t good either. The overall atmosphere wasn’t great — there were mosquitoes, no air conditioning, and someone was smoking, which made the whole place smell unpleasant.
There’s no dedicated parking for the restaurant. You have to find street parking nearby, which is possible but not very convenient.
For this price range, I’d rate my overall satisfaction around 2...
Read moreI usually eat Thai Style or Jok for breakfast and when I want a Western Style breakfast Morning Bread is at the top of my list. GREAT service, a friend cat and some really good bread, typically I ask for four strips of crispy bacon (which in Thailand isn’t easy), three eggs over easy, and croissant and cappuccino. GREAT place to watch the day start and people walk by, if you listen closely you can hear anything from German, Swiss, French, Australian, British or American. The only down side if any is someone smoking a cigarettes while your trying to enjoy breakfast. At the top of SOI 94 in a easily found location close to...
