I found the Kiang Haad to be a great hotel for the value it delivered. The staff was friendly and helpful. Within minutes of arriving from my nine hour bus ride, I was in my room. It was quite spacious and had two full beds that were very comfortable, a desk, an area for coffee prep other tasks and a spacious bathroom with a large shower and nice big bath sheets.
The room provides you with a coffee pot and two cups of coffee prep. There is a beach bag with two large beach towels and a pair of flip flops for your use. In the parking garage you can pick up a spacious beach mat, too.
Throughout my stay the staff was regularly helpful and at least one associate was available at all times. I always leave my key at the desk when I leave the hotel and they were ready with it by the time I reached the desk from the door. They took my requests on housekeeping and conveyed them to the housekeeper exactly as all of my requests were met perfectly. The manager was around during 9-5 and available to your requests.
There’s a rooftop pool and bar. The pool area is small but nice and the bar serves a full menu until closing at 4PM.
The location is great. You have The Market Village with shops, kiosks, restaurants, fast food and a street food market on the lowest floor. There’s a Lotus’s so you can get fresh fruit, other food goods, household materials, makeup and more. There are plenty of local eateries nearby, too, as well as a bar district just down Hua Hin 94 Road past the Village.
One caveat. The hotel is on the main road. It can be noisy in the front rooms but it wasn’t a bother to me. You should request a room away from the road if that would be a problem.
For it’s price, I feel The Kiang Haad Hua Hin is a great hotel for a budget stay. I enjoyed my...
Read moreI don't often contradict what other reviews have stated but I would highly recommend the hotel. On arrival the staff were very courteous and helpful when I checked in on a Tuesday evening. The room on the sixth floor was spacious with a good size shower and balcony overlooking the second floor pool. Yes, you can hear traffic noise at night from the main road but the air conditioning and very comfortable king size bed and pillows should enable you to sleep soundly. There is a beach bag with two grey beach towels and two pairs of flipflops together with a large umbrella to protect you from the sun when you visit the beach which is a very short walk away. In addition, there are mats and plastic chairs for hotel guests to take to the beach in the car park at the rear of the hotel. I didn't book breakfast or room service and didn't order food from the poolside bar on the fourth floor. The drinks and cocktails are quite cheap and there are about ten sun loungers by the side of the pool. The reason I didn't partake of food is that the hotel is situated opposite the Market Village Mall which has an amazing food court offering many cuisines at cheap prices. If you prefer a Western type breakfast, there's a McDonald's and Starbucks at the front of the mall together with other similar establishments. If you want night life, there are numerous bars situated a short walk away from the hotel, together with various restaurants. I stayed for six nights as I had to attend the immigration office which is situated in Bluport Mall a short distance away. A very pleasant stay, reasonably priced and I'd be very happy to return again...
Read moreI stayed here for 2 nights for visiting Hua Hin and the beach as last part of our trip to Thailand. The Rooms are luxurious enough and offer a mini bar (this must be paid for of course) but you do get a free water bottle per person. The beds are comfy enough and there are two shower heads! Love it when a hotel gives u choices. Apart from the standard rooms there are some bigger rooms which offer a jacuzzi and private balcony, although I haven't experienced this.
Furthermore, there are 2 swimming pools: one on the 2nd floor and one on the 4th, please notice that the ground floor is counted as the 1st floor. The pool on the 4th floor offers more direct sunlight and seating in the water, while the pool on the 2nd floor has a sub-pool for little children. Both pools are accompanied with enough lounge chairs and free-to-use towels.
The breakfast is varied with mainly Thai food, but there are some basic European dishes like croissants, toasts and yoghurt although I would have liked the hotel to offer more European dishes.
The hotel also offers a taxi service to take passengers to different locations throughout Hua Hin for reasonable prices.
By the way: the Internet is free and has a speed of around 1.75Mbps.
Across the street is a giant Market Hall which offers different souvenir shops and a lot of restaurants. And for the ones interested in Thai massage: there are about 10 different places to do this a few minutes walking from the hotel.
To Conclude I would like to say that I have enjoyed every minute of my stay at the hotel and I would definitely...
