Bello Dolce (Italian Ice Cream and Cafe) — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

Das war ein trauriger Besuch. Meine Frau und ich waren die einzigen Gäste und blieben es auch. Die 2 Angestellten waren sehr überrascht, als wir reinkamen. Liegt vielleicht auch an der Saison. Ich hatte eigentlich eine Eiskarte erwartet, auf dem einige Eisbecher angeboten werden, aber leider Fehlanzeige. Wir haben eine große beidseitig bedruckte Tafel bekommen, auf der man dann ein paar Sachen auswählen konnte. Solche tollen Eisbecher, wie ich sie aus italienischen Eisdielen kenne, waren nicht dabei. Vielleicht noch dieses Bananeneis. Der keine Becher meiner Frau bestand aus Supermarkteis, meine vier Eisbällchen aus nicht typischen Sorten sahen tatsächlich selbstgemacht aus und haben auch geschmeckt. Die zwei Angestellten haben uns in dem Nebenraum die Klimaanlage und einen Ventilator eingeschaltet. Danach haben sie sich komplett in ein Rückwärtiges Zimmer "verzogen", so dass ich mit meiner Frau komplett alleine in dem Cafe saßen. Alles in allem war es ein enttäuschender Besuch. Schade

It was a sad visit. My wife and I were the only guests and remained so. The 2 employees were very surprised when we came in. I was actually expecting an ice cream menu with a few ice cream sundaes on offer, but unfortunately there were none. We were given a large blackboard printed on both sides on which we could choose a few things. There were no great ice cream sundaes like the ones I know from Italian ice cream parlours. Maybe this banana ice cream. My wife's cup wasn't made from supermarket ice cream, my four ice cream balls from non-typical flavours actually looked and tasted homemade. The two employees switched on the air conditioning and a fan in the next room. After that, they completely "disappeared" into a room at the back, leaving me and my wife completely alone in the café. All in all, it was a disappointing...

4 stars because they hit all the notes almost perfectly. Ice cream, gelato, coffee, mixed drinks, craft beer, food, and free WiFi all under one Air-con roof! The generally high price of menu items is the only thing that kept them from getting the 5th Star. I can only attest to the mango gelatos excellence as that's all I ordered on my first trip here. $2.49 USD for a single dip is a bit expensive, but when it's over 34°C or 94°F outside it's a refreshing break that's worth it. ฿150-฿180 or $4.77 - $5.74 for a craft beer or mixed drink. nice gelato in hua hin, must try as it's way much better than other ice cream parlors in that area. Chocolate flavor is like eating chocolate milk that has tiny chocolate chips inside, pitachio is also good feel natural pitachio flavor not much artificial, and lemon is also very refreshing and unstopable! more to try...
