Thi Baan Bistro — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

We came here tonight for a dinner around 6pm. The restaurant was small but clean and quaint. There was 1 waitress and one bartender. We did like the food here, and best of all, they could adjust the spiciness to our likings. Here is my rating: Food:

1. Pad see ew vegetarian, 5/5. This dish was very tasty and packed of flavor. My friend loved it. The vegetables were perfectly cooked. They were neither undercooked nor overcooked.
2. Pad kee mao spaghetti with seafood: 5/5. This dish looked like Italian spaghetti seafood (frutti de mare), but to my suprised, it had a perfectly Thai's flavor. The spaghetti were slightly el dente. The seafood (squids, shrimps) was cooked perfectly. They were not rubberized at all. The seafood was very fresh. This dish really wow me with a perfectly seasoning. I could smell the fragrance of the kifir leaves. It also had some fresh green peppers which added the flavor to another level. I highly recommend this dish.
3. Papaya salad: 4/5. The dressing was good. It was a combination of sour lime juice, sweet and salty from the fish sauce, and the fresh green papaya gave it a crunchy texture. However, this dish did not have dried shrimps. We requested no spicy for this dish. We also ordered the mango soda and Thai's ice tea. The ice tea was so so, it was not too sweet but the milk tasted like skim milk. The mango soda was not bad. Staff: 5/5. There was only one waitress but she managed to serve everyone very well. I went here the 3rd day in a row now. This is the best value for money place in southern Thailand I‘ve seen in my last 3 vacations here (the gamily come from the North, so that explains it ;) Everything tastes great and the prives are very reasonable. They have Northern Thai dishes as well (recommended!). But even European dishes like Spaghetti Carbonara or various sandwiches have the same quality as home.
