CAFE DE KHOI — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

If you are looking for a break from the usual restaurants in BluPort Mall and if you want a slightly elevated "Hi-So" experience, then check out "Cafe de Khoi".

Just be careful pronouncing the name if your Thai is not up to speed, as you might say something with an utterly different meaning. (Evidently, this cafe's namesake is the "Khoi" tree.)

I wandered into the cafe on a lazy Saturday afternoon and for most of my time there, I was the only customer.

I ordered an Americano coffee with a side of warm milk and I completed some work on my laptop.

By and by, I felt hungry, so I selected the Pepperoni Pizza. If you follow my reviews, you might notice that I really like Pizza.

Well, this Pizza had an overly soft and doughy crust that really lacked structure. The overall flavor was good and it was loaded with cheese, but it could have stayed in the oven a bit longer... it needed some crisp.

Later, I was thirsty and a very healthy looking vegetable smoothie caught my attention. I forget what it was called on the menu but it was great.

The staff members and my waitress were all friendly, polite and professional.

After all, this is the coffee shop for the hotel, so you can expect a different level of service.

Café Del Khoi is an absolute gem. I popped in for a latte and a pastry, and both completely exceeded my expectations. The latte was smooth and rich—clearly made with care—and paired perfectly with the fresh, flaky pastry that was just the right amount of indulgent.
