Although the place looks like it’s falling apart and the ceiling looks like it’s going to cave in any minute, don’t let that deter you. This Michelin-recommended hole-in-the-wall eatery near the Bangkok hospital whips up some unbelievably delicious fare that I think at some point this is just plain culinary sorcery.
We got three items on the extensive menu - the deep fried pork which my wife inhaled in a few minutes, the deep fried garlic squid which was so crispy outside yet as soft as a cloud inside. How is that even possible? The biggest spell though was cast on this stir fried unnamed leaf with egg which was absolutely refreshing and delicious at the same time! My Google sleuthing came up with it being the “Chaplu leaves” but I’m doubtful still. Whatever it is, I want to get married to that plant that produces those leaves!
