Green Tamarind Kitchen — Restaurant in Rawai

I was a good and satisfied customer here for many years, but I noticed that the amount per portion was reduced. On friendly request I was informed that the imported bacon from Bangkok ( I thought before Import mean other country 😃) has become more expensive and therefore they have to adjust the amount of food. I didn't think that was okay and said why didn't she increase the price instead of reduce the usually portion? She says if she raises the price, customers won't be happy. I say if you reduce the amount to half of the portions the customers are not satisfied either then she claims the amount is the same as before and if I want a little more bacon I should pay an extra charge she discussed and discussed with me and although already I made my standard order then decided to cancel the order after only discussing it. Even though the quality of the burgers is still ok i feel fooled to say the least and made out to be a liar first it is admitted the purchase price is more expensive and therefore the quantity is going down then again the quantity was the same. WOW - what an amazing little restaurant. Tucked away just off the main road you arrive at this quaint little mecca of a restaurant. On entering my partner & l were greeted by friendly smiling staff. You cant help notice the bustling burger station that's on your left when you enter. The burgers are a very very popular here @Green Tamarind and that is very easily noticed by the 4 staff that are put through their paces at the flaming burger station. My partner opted to try Thai food so we went for fried rice w/prawns, Phad thai w/chicken and a Penang Seafood curry and OMG OMG OMG....there was no faulting any part of any dish and we polished them all up and i even wanted to lick the plate but my partner would have slapped me -hahahaha....Do your self a favor and treat yourself @Green Tamarind - you will not be dissapointed as i'll be going back at least another 2times in the...

With the caveat that it may be a coincidence, I ate here twice and both times I suffered awful food poisoning roughly 6 hours after eating involving violent diarrhea and vomiting. Both times the burger tasted fantastic and was clearly made with a lot of care. I'd love to give this place 4 or 5 stars. The staff are great and friendly.
