NOZOMI Sushi & Izakaya Saiyuan — Restaurant in Rawai

This was the second visit after the first time being good. This time it was quite the opposite. Service was bad, slow, uninterested staff. We waited for a long time and had to get up to ask why our food was taking long while other customers that walked in after us got served.

This is not a staff issue but a management issue as the management should train the staff to be friendly, fast and efficient. So if the management wishes to improve the service we suggest to review the camera footage.

The tuna poke bowl was definitely sub par. I ate it because I was hungry otherwise I would have sent it back. Overcooked tuna, too much rice and a very poor selection of ingredients.

The starters (shashimi) came a long time after the main course and the two orders came not at the same time either.

All in all a very disappointing experience. If it doesn’t improve we strongly recommend to go somewhere...

I and my boyfriend had a fantastic experience here — great atmosphere, delicious food, and incredibly friendly staff!

Regarding the negative review below from Aleksandr, it doesn’t reflect the truth. We witnessed the situation firsthand. The waitress politely informed the group that sushi and cold dishes would take over an hour to prepare due to a queue of Grab orders. She also suggested them choosing other dishes that could be served faster. However, the guy responded rudely, complained about very bad service, and that group of people left the place.

In contrast, our order, which was also estimated to take over an hour, was served in just 30 minutes! ♥️ Exceptional service at its best. We’ll definitely recommend this place and wish you more understanding and respectful...

The place, located in a more secluded alley not far from rawai brach, is a nice break from Thai food and gives a broad overview of several japanese cuisine types; they try to combine all in one, a seafood Saporo style barbecue, beef bbq, sushi / sashimi restaurant and Kansai Izakaya food. when trying so many at once, it is hard to get things perfect. We tried the salmon sashimi that was great, fish felt fresh wasabi was quite strong and tasty. The beef tongue bbq, came already cooked and cold, a pity; the crab miso were nice but not worth the 250 thb / piece. The salad we took was nice and fresh. We ended up a bit hungry after 1500 thb bill. All in all, is for the best as we slept...
