PLEASE DO NOT VISIT, I left in hysterics crying after my visit today. Visited Chatuchuk store, and it was awful I feel so bad for paying to see such cruelty.
Its animal cruelty and my heart breaks for these poor animals I feel sick to my stomach for even visiting and I’m still visibly upset about what I witnessed, I am so worried that these poor dogs don’t even leave that tiny room and aren’t walked or given any enrichment it was absolutely awful.
To top it off, they have another building opposite where it’s just full of cages and nothing else and it was full of distressed dogs barking their heads off and biting The metal bars through sheer boredom It’s a glorified puppy breeding mill in there. I was so upset and I feel sick to the bottom of my stomach for those poor poor dogs someone please help them.
If you love dogs or consider yourself an animal lover DO NOT VISIT it was the most awful thing I have ever witnessed...
Read moreHave you seen one of those encyclopedia posters of dog’s breed pasted on walls? Well, this place is just like that, except the dogs are alive and kicking. They have half the species of the world’s dogs here. There were mini dogs, small dogs, medium dogs, big dogs and giant dogs the size of a brown bear. There were so many of them surrounding us in the play area. Those 423,876 dogs were all super friendly and playful. And when we had snacks in our hands, we became a mountain of dogs as they surrounded and scuttled up our bodies to reach the nibbles. This was the reason why each of us were handed a Demin apron, our kids had mini ones too. The dogs were released in batches into the play area, if not it would explode with all 423,876 in there at the same time. There is a separated dining area where we had dinner after the play and then some play in between the dinner. Upstairs, there is the cat area. There weren’t as many cats around as there were dogs. They were all docile and some of them were rather playful. And then there is the other room with loads of rabbits. I think it was near closing time and therefore they were not out to play, they were already resting in their cages. There is a small room that has chameleons, there is a small pond with geese. We even saw some goats in one of the sections. With so many things going on, one would think the place is ginormous, but it is surprisingly not. The zone opened to public is limited, I believe the animals are all kept in some other buildings when they are not on show. It was a weekday’s late evening after 5 we arrived. There were only about 3 or 4 other small groups of guests, all locals. This place is not your upscale trendy in town pet café, the décor is still pretty decent however. It is out of central Bangkok on the west in the...
Read moreThe place itself is not bad, restaurant is nice and food ok…have to say also that is quite expensive cause you pay an entrance fee plus 10% service charge and 7% vat….too much for a place in the middle of nowhere Unfortunately I didn’t feel to be in a place where people helps animals but the opposite in a place where they make business on them…too many dogs (all purebred so not like a dog shelter with dogs that need help)so many ,that the smell is really too strong inside the rooms making difficult stay inside longer than few minutes Some dogs fight each other quite a lot when are too excited Many dogs looks tired and not so well maintained some also quite old and not compatible with kind of stress that spoiled people bring to them…mostly to take pictures for social networks And close to motorbike park you can see part of fences where they keep dogs and everything was pretty dirty and super super smelly… Could be a nice place if they keep like less than half of quantity of animals they currently have (cats area according to me is much more balanced) keeping them more healthy and less stressed And also the whole area cleaner..I really hope that “behind the scenes “ they keep better animals but honestly I...
